  • is this the model you have to get the 512gb or 1tb model to have 16gb of ram?

    • +4

I believe only the 1TB/2TB has 16GB Ram.

  • +1

I did the same thing but for the12.9 M2 256GB model. Brought it down to $1776.60.

    • +2

Yeah various ways to skin this cat. There's the M1 512GB WiFi + Cellular for $1799 before the discount methods.

Basically anything > $1170 should technically trigger this.

  • What a fricken… awesome deal. Well done OP.

    • Thanks bud!

  • I wonder if one can price match at Apple Store.

  • +1

I picked up the iPad Pro 11 inch 4th Gen M2 128gb for $1191.60 using these codes.

  • +1

Its crazy they can make they can make this with the power of a macbook air inside it.

    • +6

but not as useful as macbook air

      • That might change next month

    • +8

I have a different perspective. I am dumbfounded that they put ipad specs into a notebook. Macbook air essentially a clamshell ipad with fixed keyboard and a different OS

  • +1

iPad Pro 11 M2 256gb - cheapest I’ve seen it, ever. Thanks OP.

All these iPads will sell out fast. Great deal.

    • Was it 1560 with the codes ?

      • $1494

        • can i ask which codes did you use? i have three codes offered, but can only choose two. The YIPPEE 10 and the WISS 5. Am i missing something?

or did you get the WIFI only?

          • @msmhuang: Those are the same two I used. Also had 3 offered.

          • @msmhuang: Yes, just the wifi version.

            • @MonocleMoose: Wow I think the cellular for an extra 65$ is great. I was looking at the cellular.

              • @msmhuang: I think you are talking about the 128gb with cellular for that price. If you don’t need the extra storage space, yes it’s a great deal.

I bought the 256gb wifi as for me the space is more important than cellular. Each to their own preference.

                • @MonocleMoose: No 1560 was the price for 256 pro 11 cellular after the codes.

                  • @msmhuang: Oops I wrote the wrong thing. I paid $1,344 for my 11 pro m2 wifi only 256gb. Not $1494.

                    • @MonocleMoose: Ok makes sense now. I was gonna say you could have added 60$ for the cellular !

Cheers bought one for my 16 month old son. Now to buy a nice case so the little tacker doesn't break the damn thing!

    • +1

Yer, I need buy a see-through protector so my cat won’t scratch it up too much going for fish in 4hr YouTube 4k aquarium vids.

    • +2

Nice. That will save a few concerned citizens a call to child protective services. Just don’t let them know the storage capacity is under 1TB.

  • Code YIPPEE10 Not working for me.

  • +2

Haven't bought an iPad for ages. Very surprised how much expensive they are now, esp considering this is a deal. More expensive than the M1 air

    • +1

12.9" pro is the top model. Apple are also quite strategic with their pricing to push consumers up a level.

Base model iPads and the air are cheaper. Example -

    • +2

Yeah the iPad pricing nowadays seems completely absurd to me. I've owned various iPads since the very first generation but I don't see the appeal of a tablet that costs more than a more capable MacBook Air.

    • Remember Apple has 3 tiers of iPads

      Base IPads
      iPad Air
      iPad Pro

For 85% of most users the base or air will be 100% sufficient

For that extra 15% who want Pro Motion, Thunderbolt 4, 12.9” displays, M2 power.. they go the Pro models..

Personally I get the Pro as I like the bigger size and I can easily get 6 years from a device..

  • +2

What are people use these for?

    • +2

      Read news.com.au

    • +6

I use mine to read OzBargain

    • +6

i bought it to become a graphics designer..ended up fixing it for the kids to watch YouTube when traveling in the car.

    • +1

Note taking for uni, and quite frankly just that in terms of productive tasks (even Excel on iPad is woeful)

    • +1

Wasting money I suppose. You can buy a proper laptop at that price.

  • How does this compare to the fifth generation iPad Pro?

  • +1

Thanks, OP. Wasn't planning on upgrading today, but such a good deal, I couldn't resist. Plus it's a work expense too. :)

  • You could get the M1 12.9 IPad with 2TB for that price recently at officeworks

    • +1

This is long gone. All stock gone..no point bringing it up..

  • I really wonder what this can do compared to ipad gen9?

  • Those who own this device? Do you use it for anything else apart of streaming Videos and checking your emails?

If that's the intention there are so many cheap tablets out there for less than a quarter of that price.

    • +1

This promo works on anything on Wireless1 eBay, including cheaper iPads/Tablets. $5 off per $117 and then less 10%

One of my comments above was incorrect that it required a spend of $1170.

  • has anyone replace their macbook pro with ipad pro? would you recommend?

    • +1

Sadly it is too difficult unless you are doing basic web browsing, email and office work. It gets too frustrating to use if you do anything even moderately mode complex than that. Saying that it is a great tablet for reading, photo editing, etc. It basically has the same software and app capability as an iPhone

    • +1

I’m actually giving this a crack myself. Got the latest 12.9 iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard. This is to replace my MacBook Pro. I also got the M2 Mac Mini to use as my desktop. So where previously I used the MacBook Pro for everything, the plan is to use the Mac Mini for my more complex tasks when at home then the iPad becomes my travel device and when I’m out and about. Whilst I’ve sacrificed MacOS when travelling or on the go, I’ve gained the ability to use the Apple Pencil for hand written notes/white boarding/drawing IT architectures.

It might help to understand that I use this setup for work where I’m based at home (Mac Mini) and meet with customers (iPad). I also travel a fair bit for work so there are times when I’m away that it will have to be my only device for a few days.

For what it’s worth. At this point, I don’t think the iPad Pro could be my only device full stop. However, using it as part of my workflow with a Mac Mini for my work requirements is going great so far and I’m hoping the continuous iPad OS updates will slowly increase its use ability for me.

I imagine other peoples mileage will vary with this scenario though.

  • Any offers on the iPad keyboards?
