    17.3in FHD (1920x1080) :(

this is a much better buy IMO if you can get access to a student discount. That display alone makes the $250 upgrade worth it.

      • Damn I lost my student discount this year :( I'm looking for a big screen laptop as a desktop replacement, that looks great!

Just for anyone that might be confused by AMD's naming system this generation a 7730U is basically a 5825U.

This deal or Lenovo deal for under $1000?

    • $900 is sort of a weird mid-spec territory, consider stretching to $1250 for the Ideapad 16". I just linked it above, it has a better processor, better i-GPU, better build quality, and a much better display.

  • Bad time to get an AMD laptop with the Zen 4 + Radeon 780M models about to be released
Unless you absolutely need a 15.6"+ display, get the 13th Gen Prestige for $1200 or the 12th Gen for $1100

    • Can you plz share your feedback on my above post? My max budget is $1k

      • Neither, would not buy any new AMD laptop at the moment

The about to be released 7x40U APU's are a huge upgrade and will force down the prices of all remaining 56xx, 58xx and 7x3x models like these ones

If you want good battery life you would stick to an AMD based CPU and avoid 13th and 12th gen. The 1340p in your link only has 4p cores and a 64w max TDP. Compared to a max 30w TDP CPU with 6 or 8p cores of Ryzen. Biggest issue with 12 and 13th gen laptops in smaller chassis is thermal throttling on battery, so performance tanks.

      • Thanks, could you plz share any direct links to buy such laptops?

      • These are 15-17inch though, not small laptops.

  • DDR4 nice
