  • If there was a cheaper way to unlock this phone I would have bought this one in a heart-beat. $195 (Phone including $10 discount + $80 Telstra Unlock) is still a good deal but given the responses within this deal about peeps paying the unlocking fee and not receiving their code correctly is not great, last thing I'd want to do is buy a phone and not be able to use it as I'm with a different carrier or return it.

I have been on the edge of my seat regarding @ChickenAdobo attempts to get people to try the Engineering Mode trick but no one seems to be willing to assist unfortunately. Appreciate the attempts though @ChickenAdobo

All good mate. Done the mtk apk method on a locked optus oppo and scored an unlocked oppo with some soft trick. One of the best bargain. Now trying again on a 5G phone with mediatek. If there is a loophole then it would be bargain buy.

This phone doesn't support Aldi mobile and Woolworths mobile, I just tested and it doesn't work…

      Please try thanks

      • There's no developer options available, on android 13.

        • Settings > about phone > software information > build number (click muliple times).

          • @ChickenAdobo: Ok, thanks got it now…

            • @OzPeter: Try the code in the dialler please.

              • @ChickenAdobo: Still getting the same message after enabling developer options unfortunately.

              • @ChickenAdobo: Yeah engineering mode is not showing up…

              • @ChickenAdobo: What's the code? The one in the video doesn't work

@ChickenAdobo: Yeah doesn't work. I did unlock a few phones for free after a few months by telling customer service I was going overseas but that requires me having an active Telstra sim which I don't have now.

  • Could anyone recommend a good Gcam port or something similar?

  • could this be made into dual sim?

…so..Im guessing Coles online doesnt do 'live' stock levels and just hoover up orders…a bit…irritating (most polite description i coukd think of…)

  • Anyone got one and what are your thoughts on this phone?

price matched from officeworks last week. The phone is not bad at all if you are with Telstra. I dont need a fancy features things, its just enough for my needs 5G + NFC + MicroSD, updated to Android based 13.

Finally ordered …backup phone for 4 years OLD p30 LITE

picked up one (click and collect) for $110 plus flybuys. Used click10. Replacing an old boost mobile with my telstra work sim.

Its a steal at the price , 5G,NFC and MicroSD. Used the camera at weekend , reasonable shots. Comes with a case and fast charger as well.

Its not showing 5G but I think that maybe the work service is only 5G , will check with work.

    • Half expected a cancellation when ordered yesterday morning but picked up last night at St Ives store.

Haven't turned it on yet but been on boost for 6 months so figure good time to use 5G and have the phone unlocked in time to do the prepaid swap to another provider once the year is up.

      • Does the phone work on boost?

        • +1

          Yes it does

          • @andyman1908: Do you know if the Boost SIM would qualify for 6 months' time spent on Telstra to get the $25 unlock fee? As Boost is technically rebranded Telstra prepaid.

            • @Tsquared: I'm hoping so, I (maybe falsely) assumed that it just needed 6 months of being active (as in 6 months after being bought) but I'm not sure now. Please report back here if you need contact them and find out.

  • Can confirm it is working on Boost.
Can somebody help me with unlocking
