  • Will drop to $100 soon.

    • and the 500 gb will be what? 10 bucks?

      • +2

They are casualties of China-US chip war. China still cannot make sub-7nm stuff due to embargo but skilled enough making SSD and Ram chips - around 14nm. AUD $100 is typical price of 2tb Ssd in China now.

    175 via Amazon UK

    • +8

With the $14.95 difference, its worth to get locally as Samsung Australia don't recognize grey import…

  • HODL!

  • Is this suitable for the PS5?

    • +1

Probably not. Samsung 980 Pro is more suitable for PS5 with higher transfer speed.

    • +1

No. PS5 requires a PCIe Gen 4.0. drive.

  • +1

    990 Pro 2TB $200 waiting room… it's been down to $267 already.

    • The reason it got so low is due to the low consumer confidence that happened with the firmware debacle, since they fixed it it probably wont go that low again anytime soon.

  • At this price I'd pay $10 more for SN770 delivered from PCByte. Gen4 pcie TLC and also runs cool and most performance would better Evo Plus 970.

Obligatory reminder that TBW rating aren't worth losing sleep over for most consumer use cases
