I'd rather pay $15 more to get the gigabyte gaming oc

    • They price on those has gone up. The cheapest is $2799.

    • Can you please share why?

      • +2

Presumably Gaming is meant to be gigabyte mid tier (comes with an additional year of warranty), Ventus is msi entry level

      • +2

Its better this time, Gigabyte put thermal pads everywhere and the cooler is pretty silent too

        • +1

It is true the gaming oc is a great card, however for the 4090 it doesn't seem to matter, all cards have coolers which are borderline too good and power doesn't seem to be an issue so all vrms are fine. The only real issue is avoiding coil whine, outside of that all cards are around the same performance.

When these come down to same as 3090 prices on special $1.6k just before 5090 is released I'll buy one.

    • +7

At that point you should just go with the 5080

      • +1

Next gen will be even more expensive than the current 4000 series.

Smallest 4090 u can get in oz cuz no fe sold here

  • +3

    4090Ti prob soon?

    • +1

Unless the 7950xt comes any closer to the 4090, unlikely. Most likely next year

  • Might be worth adding you need to have a Umart "premium" account to access this deal.

    • +1

I don't have premium but can get the price.

  • +1

Only this and the FE fit into most ITX cases - so if that's what you're planning, this is worth a look!

    • Waiting for the Inno3D iChill to drop a bit more in price.

      • And me. I have some Alphacool ES reference blocks. Are you thinking the same after watching Optimum Tech?

        • Nah, I am using a Fractal Torrent Nano case and the Inno3D is the only 4090 that fits that has RGB.

          • +1

@PlushToys: It will certainly fit in that case with this cooler - prob 3 times over (and then some). I'm using a single 360 rad for both GPU & CPU. That's actually sufficient when installed in the right way…ask me how I know! The Alpha block doesn't have RGB but I'll just add that myself

The Nano is a nice case, enjoy the build.

  • Got one of these in my SSUPD Meshroom. Been pretty good so far. Can recommend.

    • Temps in the meshy?

stock fan curve, 75 max in summer.
I run a slightly higher curve and have not seen it go over 68c in summer (27 to 28c room).

        • that's pretty good.

    • Coil whine?

      • +1

No Coil Whine I have heard so far. Not like the Asus ones.

        • I think the coil while is a lottery, I have the G Gaming OC even louder than Asus TUF.

  • Will buy if it is the ROG

  • +1

    holding for 6090

      …nice

How is the Umart customer service?

    • Excellent. Bought few things with them recently and had one return, no problems whatsoever, quick and efficient.

  • I had this card. It is a powerful card that comes in a compact size, which is great for smaller builds. It's also a plus for those who prefer a more subtle look as it doesn't have any RGB lighting
However, my one had a very loud coil whine, even with headphones on, and have returned their cards as a result. So, if you don't mind potential noise issues, this card could be a good fit for your setup.

    • You were right to return it… Hold these mega corps accountable for close to $3k spend!

  • Looks like they fixed the bug. The price is no longer valid unless you're a Premium user.
