I have spend $800 for $200 back on platinum charge

    • Same on my gold card.

    • added to header

    • same on Qantas discovery

  • Got the 800/200 deal.

I'm in the market for a new laptop, but I'm not sure if MS direct is overpriced or not.

    • MS direct can offer some good deals

    • I dont mind the surface laptop 5 (have some 3's at work) - but at this late in the cycle if you dont NEED it, maybe just hang out for next one

  • Also Qantas spend $350/75 is good deal

Too bad it's not easy to buy MS gift cards especially if you have more than 1 amex with the offer. They always block gift card purchases because of "fraud".

    • Seems this offer only applied to main card, not the sup cards.

  • Does anybody know if the MS offer includes paying for MS 365 Subscriptions? Thanks!

    • Yea it does.

      • Great, thanks!

Might be an ATL for XSX for those looking. Bonus free game too if you choose the $849 bundle.

    Will this include buying Xbox?

    • Interested too. I don't see it in the exclusions.

  • got $200 off $800 spend

  • Weird. Mine is only on business: http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/store/b/business.

Mine links to the same, which is why I was wondering if it can be used to buy Xbox. I think in the past people have said it can?

      • Have you seen this mentioned in a past post specific to the business portal? I had a quick look at past deals but couldn't see anything. (I might have missed it.)

        • I think only this deal is for business, whereas previous deals are for all Microsoft. I went on their online chat and they confirmed it is for business store. I have a few weeks to think about it, but will probably pull the trigger anyway and hope the credit comes up. Not like I am going to find it much cheaper elsewhere.

@Pork Hunt: True. If you do go ahead with it, would you mind letting us know whether or not it triggers the amex cashback?

            • @Spud McDoug: I just tried adding both surface book and xbox to the cart, and they can be checked out at same order. I did not place the order but guess xbox should be able to get the credit. Happy to discuss

@bond008: I didn't end up trying. Seen a few good deals for Xbox with Gamesmen here recently, so decided to hold off. Zelda taking up most of my time at the moment anyway.

  • my link only get me to the business store, I really want the xbox bundle, looks like it is NOT covered.

I contacted Amex support, they said it can be used anything from microsoft.com.au, I then bought the SeriesX and a controller, can confirm that I got the email from Amex saying I had used the offer.

Well this made my day! Someone is getting a new Xbox for his birthday!
      …my kids, of course. Ahem.

I purchased the Xbox on Wednesday. Didn't get email or credit yet, but have been assured by Amex chat that it will come through. It just shows up on statement as Microsoft, so I don't know how they would tell which store it is from.

        • Good point, i have already received my cash back. Nice as well considering the price is about to go up.

I've used this offer three times now, the first two times the credit tracked immediately and was showing on the statement as soon as the transaction cleared. This time around I received the "You've used your Amex Microsoft Offer" email, the $120 credit tracked initially and I could see the $120 listed under the "savings" of the offer section before the credit was then removed from my statement. Like you I got in touch with chat support and was assured that the transaction qualifies for the credit and it will be applied to my account soon, never had an issue prior to this, they must've changed something on their end recently.

maybe let us know when you get the credit. thanks!

@bond008: Just to let you know, I still haven't received credit or email. However when I log into Amex the Microsoft deal is listed under 'recently redeemed'. I am pretty confident it will come through eventually.

            • @Pork Hunt: thanks mate. in this case I am sure it will come. I had same experience when I used Sony deal last time. Credit was given after couple days without an email saying it was used.

          • +2

@bond008: The credit was added to my statement/transactions today for anyone that was wondering

    • Did your terms and conditions state the business store, or did it not specify? Just want to make sure yours is the same deal.

      • +1

        The terms stated business.

  • If anyone hasn't pulled the trigger yet on an Xbox, CashRewards now has 10% cashback on Xbox consoles today.
