Desktop PC: i5-13600KF CPU, 7900 XTX 24GB GPU, 32GB RAM 3600MHz, 2TB SSD Gen4 $3,149 + Shipping ($0 MEL Pickup) @ Aftershock PC

Given some delays with suppliers, this deal might hit the mark with some.

Delivery: Dispatched next business day
Collection: Same day local pick up from warehouse

Note: I have used some low end items like case, fans and cooler as Aftershock has their own branded items. They could be better quality or worse than I have substituted.

Also, couldn't find a matching PSU on pcpartpicker, so I have used a Thermaltake Smart BM2 750 W 80+ Bronze ($109) (hydro 800w seems to range from $99 to $130)

Used cheapest 7900 XTX on market

Assumption made on SSD being a '980 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD 2TB'

Without Windows 11 Professional 64 bit (Activated): $3,179

Seems like a reasonable deal given the labour, how quickly it's available and 3 year warranty.

  • The price shocked me LOL

  • How much difference in performance is the DDR4? I thought DDR5 would be standard at this price?

Why in the world would you buy a 3 grand PC with DDR4

    • Yep, that's a terrible combo, particularly at that price point.

  • Can it play Doom?

Not picking on anyone but I tried to get in touch with Aftershock regarding some queries and price match with PLE for my custom build. And they haven't got any response. I wonder how reliable and responsive their warranty is.

An OEM Win 11 Pro key is around 50 aud, so that list should cost at 3230 AUD only. So you get 80 bucks cheaper buying from Aftershock which isn't that worth imo
