  • Someone listed this last night and the mods pulled it.

  • Just used on a $55 case of reds.

  • I used it yesterday. Great deal. Valid till 25th Aug I think

Just ordered 12 poets corner for $37.88 delivered what a bargain for a pretty decent wine

  • Gift Certificate Invalid
Please correct or remove the gift certificate

    • I paid using Paypal and the Voucher field was on the screen after the one you are on.

    • +2

You need to put it in the Voucher Code box, not the Gift Certificate box.

    • its not a gift certificate its a voucher entered on the page prior to the one that says gift certificate

  • Poets Corner is a decent drop especially for that price

  • i5318008 - well spotted cheers!

  • Thanks chadparis. Great bargain, particularly with the starthere cashback.

  • Grabbed some Poet's Corner. I ordered from these guys some other time when there was a voucher. No problems here!

    • no

    • A sense of propriety?

    • How did you find this one? I can't even see it on Red Wines or Under $10?

      • +1

Just clicked on the "Merlot" section

    • Just ordered that case. Thanks, love a merlot.

      • Yeah, I do too… just not sure how good this wine is. Any ideas?

        • I just ordered a case. I found it on another website for $160 a dozen and even the other Rex Watson wine ranges were on Dan Murphys for about $5-6 a bottle and this one may be the "range up" from those.

It should be a decent quaffer and worst case I lose $30

    • nice price also but not a merlot fan

  • oh, yeh can see it now, bizarre I couldnt see it under the "under $10" section. very good deal

  • +1

Nice find - grabbed the Rex Watson Merlot. Haha on a worrying note I don't think I've ever seen any wine SO WIDELY flogged on all the discount websites! Seriously google it and you'll find they've been trying to clear it out all over. I wouldn't be surprised to see DealExtreme listing it soon!

    Thanks OP.

    • I haven't seen this variety (Section 76)but definitely seen the rex watson ones flogged before like you said on a lot of sites, definitely lower end of the wine quality scale but still ok I reckon for quaffers with pizza, pasta, bbqs etc

  • After I entered the voucher the total still doesn't change. What to do next?

    • Did you put it in the gift certificate box or the voucher box? it needs to be in the voucher section

      • Never mind I can see the changes now but it seems they don't accept my commonwealth debit credit card.
Edit: Never mind it was a weird glitch.

Got a dozen Rawsons Retreat for $52 delivered and, not to be outdone, the cheese and kisses ordered the Poets Corner for $37.88 delivered. Good find OP.

  • where is the he Poets Corner for $37.88 all i can find is $59.88

    • $59.88 + $8 delivery - $30 discount = $37.88

  • I bought Penfold 128 Shiraz 2010. Turns out to be $5 cheaper each bottle than Dan Murphy.

  • thanks got the last one hope its a good drop Poets corner>?

  • Just ordered a case of a Chardonnay delivered for $34. Great!
Will it work if I order another for delivery to another address?

    • +1

A different account is needed - the same address is ok.

    ch4rgd - best deal there I reckon

  • thanks :)
is it only available once per customer?

    • Yes (without cheating the 'system')

      • +1

I wonder how many negs I would get if I said:
"C'mon guys, play it nice - use the voucher once."

Oh well, there, I said it.

  • Looks like voucher doesn't apply to cider either

I used voch yesterday for the crown bee that got take down by mods, got email from websit saying order left the warehouse and in transit.

    • +1

ditto … i was the OP of that earlier posting :)

      • After reading your comments last night I thought I'd try my luck. Got the e-mail this morning saying my order had been despatched. 1 carton of crown lager for $20 + $8 delivery heading my way :)

        • I would check the best before date when you get it. You may get something that was stale from them like I did.

        • Me to, cheapest carton of crownies I've ever bought, thanks to the op

      • Cheers for the Crownies mine were waiting for me on the door step today.

        • what's the best before date? still waiting on mine

        • +1

Used by date on mine was January 2013.

  • So whats worth getting?

  • Thanks OP
Just ordered a dozen Rawson Retreat Shiraz Cab for $52 delivered

  • Cheers for the deal OP.
    Just ordered the poets dozen.
    :)

Any idea if there's any wines for under $30 a carton with free shipping? I don't want to pay anything over a cent, that's what we oz bargainers are hunting for? :)

    • -2

I asked the same question above and got negged bad. The thing is that if there was a case below $30 these same people would have their dirty snouts in the trough.

    • There is a thin line between being a bargainer and being just greedy :-)

  • this poets corner thing better be good. I'm not wine snob but wouldn't want goon either. I just SPLURGED $37 on a carton of it based on recommendations here LOL. Might have to xfer it to a decanter when we have guests over. Quite embarrassing serving them $3 bottle of wine.

  • I'm involved with a postgraduate club and ordered 24xPoets Corner. Hell yeah!

  • +1

LOL the future of our nation is in safe hands.

  • If you want to be a super tight arse, lindemans varieties are available in boxes of 6, http://wines.winemarket.com.au/search?asug=&w=lindemans at 42 to 44 bucks per box.
    So, you could get them for $12 to $14 (after 30 off) + $8 delivery = $20-22

I personally wont bother, because it's lindemans, and because I already have more wine than I can drink in the next few years, but, it you want uber cheap, but not from a cask, that might be an option for you…

  • anyone reccommend a cheap light and refreshing wine? white obviously i know nothing about wines, but i know thats the only type i like cause i cant take alcohol lol

  • +3
    • I think your hunch may be right. Will get one and see. http://www.birdinhand.com.au/about

    • I grabbed one of these. Looks very promising.

      • Me too. Hoping it's quality, if it's really worth $35 a bottle $7.50 is definitely a bargain

  • Purchased a box of Poets corner for $37.88. Thanks OP

  • +4

I'm all for looking for bargains but some of you (Devok) are so tight its almost sickening. If you can't pay $30 for a decent case of wine you should deserve to drink vinegar

    • +1

Agree itxrd, The Poets Corner is a very good drop for the price and given it's about $2.80 a bottle you can't really expect too much. I order most of my wine online and feel like I am getting a bargain for $60 a dozen as long as i know it is good value for the price and Wine Market don't often sell bad wine, even the lower price stuff.

  • No idea about wines, and is this a good mix to start with?

    http://www.winemarket.com.au/Home_4/NEWBIES/BOTTLES-GALORE-1…

    • Seems ok not bad for 16 bottles at $59 with the voucher, a few cheaper bottles but some nice ones like the taylors, Bleasdale, Marg River. Depends if you like whites, chardonnay in particular theres a few of those in there but i guess at $3.50 ish a bottle delivered can't complain too much. Not for me though as I am not a white wine fan especially chardy

      • Ok, Thanks. ordered one.

  • seems like voucher expired…

  • Sweet, mixed box of 12 boutique wines for $89. Thanks OP!

  • Bought the mystery Merlot for $45 (6 bottles).
Nice find OP, as a regular guzzler I'm not sure how I missed it :)

  • Thanks heaps, just picked up 6 bottles of Jamiesons Run delivered for $6.85 each, normally $15 in woolies when its not on special.

  • I have bought the $89 16 mixed bottle package before and it was quiet good, there was only one bottle in the package I did not like. Its a great way to sample many different wines and very cheap as last time I used a $30 voucher they also charged $8.95 delivery where this time its free shipping so great deal 16 mixed bottles delivered for $59 so that's about $3.70 each bottle and as I said last time I was very impressed with the quality I received.

    • +1

Damn, wish I'd read this before I impulse bought the boutique pack. I was tossing up between the two. Hopefully the boutiques are good.

      • Hopefully the boutiques are good.

I don't think you will be disappointed. Still very cheap, and some good wine.
A bit of a stretch calling Grant Burge a boutique winery though.

Just bought YET ANOTHER case of this… $70 posted. Delicious and can't get enough!
    Thanks OP!

  • PENFOLDS BIN 128 COONAWARRA SHIRAZ 2009 $18.83/BOTLLE

    CHEAPEST EVA!

  • I bought the case of.mixed. its actually 16 bottles and they look decent. $59 too

  • Just got an email that the Poet's has run out. (Even though I ordered it).
Winemarket have replaced it with "GRANT BURGE BATCH 27 CABERNET SHIRAZ 2010"

Not really an issue for me as it was just going to be a quickie red with pizza / dinner so cheers to Wine Market for the replacement @ the same price.

  • +1

Thanks to all us tight-arses, they have run out of the Poets Corner Shiraz, and will send me a case of Grant Burge Batch 27 Cab-Shiraz instead.
I'm certainly not complaining! Never had a bad wine from GB.

    edit: beaten :(
