  • Do these loop behind the ears or right across the back of the head?

Thanks OP, I bought some. They look good, and hopefully work well.

This is a great price for what still an essential requirement for those of us who are immunocompromised or vulnerable in any other way.

    • +3

or work with inconsiderate disease spreading scum that refuse to stay home when they're ill…

    • +1

.. for what still an essential requirement for those of us…

Your wording makes it sound like these masks only became an essential requirement to you sometime in 2020?

    • what about other professions?

    • -1

Massive number of hospital aquired covid infections being reported vs community, with a 10% fatality rate. Not so smart to hold up HCW giving up masks as a positive benchmark.

      • +1

What BS are you on about 10% fatality rate?

        • branch covidians just wont let go…..

          • +3

@franco cozzo: "Between 30 days and a year after recovery from COVID, survivors were 52% more likely to have a stroke, 63% more likely to have a heart attack, and 72% more likely to develop heart failure. This means that over one year, for every 1,000 people who had COVID, there would be five extra strokes, three extra heart attacks and 12 extra cases of heart failure. There was also evidence of an increased risk of serious blood clots on the lungs."

Went to hospital recently and all health staff still wearing masks. There is also a mask station at the entry where those entering are expected to wear mask

        Herd mentality.

    • +5

please tell me other things that people in the community are and are not doing so I can just follow that life path. I have an inability to make decisions for myself. If I follow Twitter trends….could that help me?

Oh and also something something drag queens trans reading to my kids at the library something.

    • +2

Staff at my gp clinic still wears them

    • 2 weeks ago, when observing staff at Flinders Medical Centre SA - some don't, some do, some place over the mouth when talking many leave hanging on one ear, depending on whos nearby…
Save ya money, there's a bargain for ya!

    • lol…21 negs for stating the truth!!!
you covidians are a funny lot!

      • funny but sad for the covidians
theyre fully invested and a majority of people, it's easy to hide from the truth in this situation

These were my go to mask working at a school. Great value, even if to put some aside for the future.

  • good value!

do masks expire? I wear one as high risk when on public transport but uncertain if safe to stock up

    • +2

I'm pretty sure they are still on date, as I would have been told otherwise (the warehouse would let me know as we are required to state short-dated stock) but I found this article that might help: https://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/do-n95-masks-expire/

    • -5

Dont worry, your mask do sweet FA.

  • +2

at $5 a piece, these can even be used for DIY at home - if you use an angle grinder or cutting wood, in dusty environments when cleaning the garden etc. These are high-quality masks originally aimed at health professionals but we have a lot of stock we need to clear. :)

    • +1

This is what I'm planning to use them for as have some renovation work coming up, thank you! :)

  • Damn I was just looking everywhere to stock up.. But I also doesn't like over head, need earloop. Looks like maybe get it from aliexpress for same price

  • +3

Unfortunately the postage killed the deal :(

    • Yeah, was looking to get one box but ….

    • Yep. But I'm still thinking if I should get 10 boxes

  • Still have a few of these that I bought ages ago. They are fine, although I don't seem to get a great seal on my face.

Went to the 3M 9320A+ and much prefer these. Feel-wise they are a much better fit (although I haven't yet done a fit test, though am planning on doing it soon).

    • +1

What about the price comparison though? I imagine 3M would be much more expensive?

      • Oh yeh they are. I pay $73 for 20 from Sydney tools. But we are really careful with them and they tend to last - I'd say I get two weeks out of them at least (I wear them most days, to/from work on public transport, and in the shops or other crowded venues, so probably an hour a day on average max).

        • Yeah I use them multiple times too.

    • where do you get the 3M from?

  • Ordered 11 boxes to get free postage. Givem out to boys on site or just staff when they have a cold.

    • Why 11 and not 10?

  • +2

Seeing a lot of one star reviews. Apparently the straps break fairly easily.

    • Hi RecklessMonkeys, could you please let me know where did you see those reviews, I had a search and couldn't find any of that? We have been selling them for a while and didn't have this feedback from customers. thanks.

    • +3

Thanks for the heads up. I was about to buy but considering that type of strap is very weak, I decided not to buy.

  • Is there actually anything particular extra with the "fluid resistance" with these masks or the same as other certified N95s? I got a bunch already of another brand but some times the DIY, cleaning or gardening work has some spraying involved.

    • These were originally sold to dentists as it's our main business, although with the pandemic we had to stock up and be able to continue serving our customers and also the massive increase of customers looking for PPE during that time (and as many stated before, we didn't inflate our prices to cash on the pandemic). they are not really made for DIY but for dental surgeries and hospitals, so I think they should be fine for DIY :)

  • It's a great deal but postage is making it not economical. Anyone in Perth, WA want to split the postage cost?

    • +3

I'm sorry I can't do anything other than the free postage for orders over $50 :( although have a look at other items, we do sell a lot of other products you might need? electric tooth brush heads, floss, gloves etc… you might find something :)

  • Any deals on earloop ones Op?

    • not at the moment, unfortunately…

    • Seems the only person here fear addled is yourself.

      • -2

        ?

  • -4

you dont need masks, just keep your self filled with the Vax booster.

    • +3

how many do you recommend? 2+4 or 2+5? or are we up to 2+6??

as dan andrews once truthfully and with no misinformation whatsoever stated, whilst following the science & listening to the experts….'this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated'

      • More the better, they can have all of mine. If it is harming vaxidiots, good, we can do without the deadwood.

      • +2

I'm gigavaxxed - it's simply the responsible thing to do so we can avoid the bushfires next summer.

    • No thanks, I'd rather wear a mask. Have had enough of that crap in my body already.

  • +1

Even with $10 postage the masks are $0.75 each. Incredibly good deal.

    • Thanks Boldwombat!

  • Thanks OP, bought some with some tooth mousse to get free postage.

    • That's great, our prices are very competitive on Tooth Mousse. You should try the Ruscello Floss someday, it's incredibly good!

  • The mask look alright but the straps are very flimsy and weak. Thanks to @RecklessMonkeys for the heads up, there are many 1 star reviews at Chemist Warehouse saying that the bands break very easily. Haven't used these ones but I have tried another mask with that exact strap and I can confirm it has weak straps. Its usable but you have to be very gentle.

  • Thanks got 3 boxes

  • Haven't had issues with the straps. Bought from CW. But the fitment is too big for my face

  • +1

Thanks OP ordered 10 packs to get free shipping.
Already have a bit of stock - I always wear mask when going shopping, so this is very welcome.
    Thanks!

  • Are these made in China?

  • What is expiry date ?

  • Bit of a weird website to find these on but I stumbled upon a similar deal the other day
    https://www.gameology.com.au/products/niosh-n95-disposable-p…
    Also 20pc for $5!
    Flat rate shipping $10

  • +2

    ordered 11 boxes

once I receive them - if the quality is good I will order more (if still in stock by that time)

immunity problemo so masks are my literal lifeline :-)

  • +1

Product seems good. Note they're not individually wrapped, so may not suit all use cases

  • They are good masks , elastic strong but in the attached bit is possible to be removed if pulled too much

    The expiry date is 11/2023
