    for me the opposite, way too small ….. depends how much presence you want from speakers and type of music you listen to.

    downside is the amps for both speakers are in one enclosure so one runs hot and the other is cold and different internal volume as one houses the amp and the other has more room.

    was looking at krk or similar monitor …. separate amp in each speaker.

      yeah i agree

      i havent had great experiences with 5" cones… 6" is ok… 7" is better

      but box size balloons

      to my liking you can probably go KRK or JBL etc. rather than this… OR just bite the bullet and go passive with an amp

      to me actives outside of the super high end always had odd issues

      I leave my s3000pro on all day and it's fins are cool to the touch.

    Its not worth the upgrade for me….and I think these still wont do a sub output.

    Depends how good your ears are I guess.

      Do you have s3000 pro as well?
      there are lot of pro and cons, and many specs in s3000 pro are better.
      however, the final sound between those two, according to review, high and low are better and you can feel the difference, better sound stage in a300 as well, but again, a300 is old product with better material used.
      If that is a300pro, this deal would be no brainer.
