    • We upgraded from V8 to V11 but only because the bin is larger and it runs for longer - if we wanted to do the whole house with V8 it had to be in 2 sessions. Yes on the high power modes the V11 is more powerful. Otherwise the V8 performance was good, what issues are you having with it?

      • I ended up buying the V11. Our V8 literally just doesn't suck anymore. I even replaced the battery with a genuine Dyson so something's gone wrong with the unit/motor possibly. If there's any "difficult" suction it starts pulsing

        • That normally means there is a blockage somewhere, the filters on the V8 have a tendency to block up pretty quickly and need regular maintenance… Or like you said the motor unit could be faulty.

          • @fullspend: Yeah I've disassembled and cleaned it thoroughly… pretty sure the motor is cactus

            • @chartparker: You can isolate the issue by removing the pre filter to test if suction improves, the motor shouldn’t have lost performance unless there’s been damage from consistently unwashed filters over multiple years, they are more likely to simply stop working completely

              • @Anthropomorphised: I’ve tried this and the motor is definitely the issue. The filters don’t appear to be heavily clogged so unsure of the root cause

  • Tried to use my store cash with the purchase and got an error. Transaction never went through but the store cash value is now showing $0. Contacted support and I have to wait until tomorrow for the code to reset, ffs.

Got the V11. $50 Shopback just tracked. Nice!

    • Was it tracked instantly?
I did my purchase but it seems that I had my old card in my details not the new one. Will it still track my transaction?

      • It took about 70 mins for mine to track. I don't think payment method matters - as long as you clicked from Shopback.

Ordered V11, apparently already ready for pickup at essendon good guys - and shopback have confirmed the cashback has tracked. time to retire the tired old V6. thanks OP!

    • How long did your cash back take to track?

      • +1

Just checked the time stamps on my emails - 16 minutes!

        • Bugger, mine has been over 45 minutes now. Not my day today it seems

Is this a good deal. Would prices be less on EOFY?

  • I was looking at the Dyson V11 vs the Samsung Jet 90/Bespoke, didn't really need the cleaning station & the V11 price was too good to refuse.

Price-matched the V11 at JB Hifi as I had a $400+ in JB vouchers, so under $200 out of pocket.

    Click & collect tomorrow :)

I still can't believe the amount of erections over spending 1k for a vacuum. Have to be crazy. A Henry vacuum has more suction and has commercial quality and about half the price.

    • Convenience. Especially for pets and kids, if you have a corded canister vacuum you probably only vacuum once every 3-7 days or even less. Stick vac you just grab it and vacuum the areas as needed, usually use mine at least daily and then just do a full house vac with the sebo every week or 2

I got JB to price match the V11 and then used my $150 voucher from the Pixel.

There was literally a pile of about 20-30 V11s at the click and collect counter at essendon good guys today!

Dyson really has turned people into "consuuumers" more than ever haven't they. It's funny how people now see a new vacuum model and are like "oh I gotta upgrade to the new one!"

Growing up things like vacuums were just used untill they didn't work/couldn't be fixed anymore.

Hey mate it’s worth updating the battery life info on v11 to remove the (2) as it could cause people to incorrectly think it includes 2 batteries. On the site the 2 links to a paragraph stating the 60 minutes is on eco. Cheers

  • I bought the V11 from the Dyson ebay deal for $736 and this turned up. Is there any difference between both except for the gold version and 3 add-ons? The goodguys deal is giving $60 storecash and $50 cashback on shop back too.

    • No

    • Sorry but where did you see/get the $60 store credit with this deal a couple weeks back? Do you have a screenshot of the ad or product thumbnail? I purchased then but there was no store credit sent (have the iOS wallet set up and all)

      • It was a targeted email and the store cash will come in on the 8th of June.
