  • Better than Xiaomi band?

  • This or mi band 8 or mi band 7 Pro?

    • What do you want to do with it? If you are actually using for tracking running/cycling, get the Pro with built in GPS.

    • Huawei / Honor Band are typically more accurate for tracking. There wasn't any updates except marginally thinner and lighter between Honor Band 6/7/8.

I just received my Xiaomi Band 8 yesterday and can already tell it's tracking is typically Xiaomi - less accurate than Huawei for heart beat etc. But it does add a bigger screen, ambient light sensor, and the big one for me -60hz - so it actually feels smooth scrolling.

  • Copy/paste from my comment on another Huawei watch…

Watch itself is ok but can't use it without creating a Huawei ID. Have the option of creating with phone number or email, but if you choose email can't continue unless you add a phone number and verify account by SMS code :/

    • +1

The boost free sims that end up making you a profit might help with that

  • +1

    AliExpress 65aud for band8 , I reckon it's better.

  • Can you share the link please?

  • Looking for a more square smart watch, mainly to receive heart rate, message notification, those basic stuffs.

    Any suggestion?

    • Something like the amazfit gts series perhaps, or maybe an amazfit bip series which are a bit cheaper. They have the basic things and really strong battery life as well.

      • +1

Yep can vouch for the amafit gts series. Wife watch battery life is better than my amazfit band 7.

    • Huawei watch fit 2 is a good choice I think.
Currently on sale at JB and add 10% makes it a good deal.
Bluetooth calling and a high grade heart rate sensor, bigger screen and build in GPS is some of the advantages over this.

      • Huawei watch fit 2

Is Fit 2 and Fit 2 Active the same? I think the same unless the classic one.

SoundPeats watch 3 is decent from my short time with it

I prefer AMOLED screen because LCD not good under sun light.

I have Huawei GT2, just want one with square screen and lighter.

        • Fit 2 comes in Active, classic and elegant from memory active does not have NFC which is not supported in Au anyway.
The screen is AMOLED and actually really good. And is very light, I actually would have preferred it to be a bit heavier.

          • @BaarOzGain: After checked out the real Fit 2, I think I prefer the look of the wider Amazfit GTS 3 or 4.

    • SoundPeats watch 3 is decent from my short time with it. Noticably heavier than the bands like in OP. If its snug on the wrist you forget its there soon enough. Battery life was measured in days. Hundreds of faces. You do need a smart phone and the app to do anything with it. Unlike Huawei, the app is on the google play store. Unlike Huawei they do not require a phone number to register your account. I only used it for tracking my steps and my heart rate. That's all I needed. It was $45 when I picked it up.

  • Can it sync with Apple Health?

    • My Watch Fit can so I would expect so

  • Price gone up to $159
