For all those who took advantage of the $60 Kindle, Woolworths at the MacCarthur centre Brisbane CBD now have the official Kindle Black Leather Cover on clearance. The clearance price is marked as $20.99 ($14 off) but when I got to the till it charged $13.99 ($21 off). Not sure if it is available elsewhere.

    I presume so, it says "leather cover" on the box. The back is a plastic shell, seems very well made.

  Just picked one up in CBD (thanks OP)and there are about 10 or so left.

  For $14, can't really complain but I doubt very much this is actually leather…more like leatherette and I don't really want to do the burn test to confirm. I can see why they weren't a big seller at the original price.

  On amazon some reviews complain about it being easily scratched and I did see the odd case with a scratch or two on it.

  I was about to post a new bargain but I see I was beaten to it by a few weeks.

  Coburg (VIC) Woolworths has the black leather case on clearance (with an official tag) @ $13.99 also; or with a light @ $23.99
