Think I read somewhere FIFA 23 being added to Game Pass (fyi)

    • yes, soon

    • I noticed it was added today for me and I have already been installing through Game Pass. Might be the case for everyone now.

Yeah I'm looking at it on gamepass right now, can install I assume it's already live. Didn't realise it was just added today.

My experience with FIFA from the previous year is all online play is dead so this copy fifa 22 will only be good for local co-op.

I tried playing a match but had a myriad of issues. Had to go as far as enabling Secure Boot in my bios just to boot it up. I had great fps up until half time when the game just went to 15 fps and stayed that way. This is usually my experience with FIFA.

@lilchonk: So this was all PC? I am in a unique situation that I have 3 friends with an Xbox, and I have as well. I guess we can play online coop all together? Or you don't know. I think we tried in Fifa 21 and it was impossible.

            • @Budju: Yeah, I typically play games on PC, and PC gaming often involves troubleshooting, mainly because I'm constantly optimising settings. I believe cross-play is usually enabled by default in the options, but it's always a good idea to check your settings to ensure it's turned on.

@lilchonk: Yeah I did go on to check it out. It turns out that FIFA 23 appears to have resolved the issue that FIFA 21 had. I honestly was gob smacked. I could not vs my friend in online play, just play with him in co-op. The problem being, nobody online in Australia played the damn game anymore because it was last year's news. It was absolutely crazy that in 2021 this would be a problem, so welcome back to EA's hollow minded game design. I sincerely hope that my research is correct and 2023 Fifa has resolved this basic issue.
