wow! get bought off with $4 worth of points so woolies can move closer towards full automation!

Lol you can still print out the receipts. it's so called paperless and you don't need to worry about losing receipts later on. It's great if they add a sreach function so we can look up history prices etc. I don't see what this would affect the full automation

      • cashless transactions and digital receipts essentially means you have no need for operated checkouts or checkout operators anymore…

        • And? "Checkout operator" isn't a job at Coles, so they reassign the team members to jobs to things more useful like stock replenishment, online order fulfillment etc.

@pennypincher98: bullshit…..those shifts are gone and there is no work
go to a 100% self checkout like i have in clayton coles…..hardly any staff to be seen and 0 operated checkouts
the future of retail is here….and its shit

            • @franco cozzo: Well that's the facts lol. Not sure why it would bother you though, you're obviously not shopping at the colluding duopoly are you?

Now I'm not saying the prices aren't unnecessarily high, I went to a local grocer the other day and got $5/5kg potatoes and ham for $6.99/kg. They're still staying in business at those margins while supermarkets had record profits. But big business will always maximise profit without government regulation.

      It's actually $2.50.

      • lol…so true. shows how much i give a crap about rewards/flybuys these days!

      • Yep, if it was $25 I'd switch
        .

    • its actually $2.5 worth of points lol

  • I opted in since day 1. Not sure did I get any points. Maybe I can try opt out haha

Thats the trick, opt in when you get a bonus then when its paid opt out. Then repeat each time you're offered another bonus :)

      • I have one account (among the 10+ not opted out after last promotion) didn't get the offer obviously.

  • Still HODLing for more points lol. Maybe it's time to just accept this xD

I've opted in before and previously gotten points, and got targeted with this offer again. After you get your 500 points, then opt out of e-receipts again

  • Points added to one of my accounts now. I only opted on BWS.

The right move is to opt off now.

    Got my 500 pts too.
