Lol you can still print out the receipts. it's so called paperless and you don't need to worry about losing receipts later on. It's great if they add a sreach function so we can look up history prices etc. I don't see what this would affect the full automation
cashless transactions and digital receipts essentially means you have no need for operated checkouts or checkout operators anymore…
And? "Checkout operator" isn't a job at Coles, so they reassign the team members to jobs to things more useful like stock replenishment, online order fulfillment etc.

Now I'm not saying the prices aren't unnecessarily high, I went to a local grocer the other day and got $5/5kg potatoes and ham for $6.99/kg. They're still staying in business at those margins while supermarkets had record profits. But big business will always maximise profit without government regulation.

Thats the trick, opt in when you get a bonus then when its paid opt out. Then repeat each time you're offered another bonus :)
