Yeah taking money off doesnt make something a good deal. Having a stupid RRP then discounting heavily to pressure people into buying on a sale is old tactic. Just have to ask yourself is $4.5 a cookie is good deal nothing else.
$7 for a cookie at a café sure id expect it and would just wind it up apart of being out for the day.

There's a time and place for things like this. Maybe you'd buy a box to take to a special occasion. I don't think it's outrageous to pay $7 for a really nice cookie once in a while.
