      Some of these "garbage" is worth quite a bit of money. Same with Pokemon cards/tcg, you probably think it's just "cardboard".

        True but there's so much of it that Funko is trying to dump.

        I encourage folks not to buy unless it's dirt cheap cos at their normal 20/30 dollar prices it's a rip-off

          Funko recently got caught sending swaths of their unsold inventory to landfill, such a waste of resources.

            @slothful: I dont know if they were really "caught" doing it. They'd had to announce the stock write off in their financial reporting, and when theyre wasnt any additional expenditure in buying/renting new warehouses its a pretty straightforward step to see that they'd be dumping it.

        So were Beanie Babies at one point. When that market collapsed you at least were left with a cute stuffed animal instead of a zero-effort design with soulless eyes smelling vaguely of plasticizer.

        At least pokemon or trading cards in general aren't ugly, nor take up excess space, nor are they likely to be an issue if they endup in landfills.

    Thanks for mentioning Amazon. The Lemmy one has been 7 bucks for ages at JB but none anywhere.

    I don't like Funko Pops usually but thanks to his distinctive glasses hiding those dumb eyes it's not a bad looking figurine.

    Best to buy in store as historically, JB Hifi package their goods like shit and for something as delicate as pop vinyls, those outer boxes are gonna get all banged up.

    Be aware it's going to cost about $3 each to have them shipped if you order lots as they will come from different stores. Doesn't kill the deal but makes it a little worse.
