Hard to see the value when the 4070 is already at $899.

Similarly, the 4060 will be right on the tail of the 6700XT for FHD and QHD gaming.

Hard to see value when the 4070 is $899

        Never a truer statement

I think there is further room for prices drops. From the data that Nvidia put out it looks like the 4060 will be roughly 20% faster than the 3060, which would still put it a bit behind the 6700XT and with less VRAM. Plus at an Aussie MSRP of $545, it doesn't seem all that appealing.

        • I agree that there's further room for price drops, just pointing out that the 4070 price to performance ratio is at least matching the 6800, truthfully exceeding once you factor in RT and upscaling.

That's for FHD data, where the gaps are smaller due to hitting CPU and architectural bottlenecks. A 20% boost there puts it at around 90% of the 6700 XT, while having far more scope for architectural gains over time, and it'll thrash it in RT. Presumably it moves further away from the 3060 at QHD.

Wild that AD107 performance was so good that they can even dare to sell this as a 4060, but here we are.

  • I paid about $420 for a used nitro + the other week - seems like the prices are really coming down either way

  • Couple more days till 7600xt. Hold onto dick long.

    • It's really hard, I've had rx570 for ages and just got rdr2 from epic… that's doesn't do decent fps at 1440

    • Isn't it 7600 non xt which will basically be like this

    • +4

      Not an XT

      RX 7600 8GB is slower than the $436 6700 10GB and slightly faster than the $340 6650 XT 8GB

Scheduled to be priced at $479 - $499

Jacket Man is fleecing and Lisa is enabling, they are 2 sides of the same coin

  • Is 12GB VRAM enough? Sorry, didn't really follow The Last of Us Part 1 PC port 8GB VRAM issue. I know 16GB is fine, but would 12GB do?

    • you normally giving tech advice
      why you asking here?

logically even if 12 GB is enough for that game
base on the ways games are going and getting stutter due to VRAM
16 GB would always be better

  • +1

Did the price for this just get jacked by about $20? I'm seeing $556 after discount

  • 7600 8GB confirmed launch price US$269 = AU$449 inc GST

6700 10GB stock is drying up so AMD planning to slot in the inferior card at the same price

6700 XT and 6750 XT 12GB prices won't move until the 4060 Ti 16GB launch in July

  • Or you could get a 6750XT for not much more..

    https://www.pccasegear.com/products/61691/asus-radeon-rx-675…

Both 6700XT and 6750XT are much better value options than that rubbish Nvidia is trying to put out.
