This morning I checked Amex and had a 10% back offer (might be targeted) and sweetened the deal. Please save to your card first. Get 10% back each time, up to $1000 back.

Checked Qantas shopping site and the 5% disc. code was available and says it expires in 72 days.

As for the monitor, seems like a fav around here so surely decent enough.

    • shame it's no longer 20% discount.

  • When I click on the link it shows $812.90 - am I doing it wrong or has the sale ended?

Did you put the promo code?

        Yep, I'm an idiot… disregard!

  • Is freesync as good as gsync these days? Any difference?

  • Anyone have direct link to AMEX promo?

  • Nothing from amex…so rarely get useful offers these days

    • Tried bitching to them via chat, no joy - only the almighty algorithm can assign offers.

also worth considering AW2723DF - lower res much higher refresh for not much more.

also also - If you work for an enterprise you can get a 7% discount code, but it doesnt stack with the 5%

  • Any suggestions whether any benefit of having this monitor purely for no graphic related work

  • Ordered mine on Tuesday night. Arrived today and DOA. Contacted support but been told it will need to be escalated before they offer me a replacement. (I contacted Dell support via chat)

Everything turns on. Blank screen. Tried 2 different laptops and 2 ps5s and 3 different cables. No go.

    • HDMI? Try turning it (the monitor) on and then plugging in the cable.

Mine had this issue - if you plug in the cable and THEN turn on the monitor, there would be no display - I had to plug in the HDMI cable AFTER turning the monitor on.

I got it replaced. Replacement they sent was a refurb, so got it replaced again. The new one also had the same issue as original, so returned all 3 for refund.

I wanted to love this monitor, but this HDMI issue is a joke.

      • Yeah did all of that. Replacement arrived and it worked straight out of the box. It actually shows a no signal message.

How do you know if it’s a refurb?

        • Refurb has a different box and the stand is already attached. I got the no signal message too.

          • @jkim: I’ll test mine more, but I turned it on without a device, got the no signal message and then connected my work laptop and that displayed everything. Seems like it’s purely based on luck if you get a working one or not.

            • @Deuce: Nah it was consistent. Turn on monitor first and then connect the device and it will work. Connect the device first and then turn on the monitor and it will be no signal for 10 mins or so and then get the signal.

So just turn off the monitor with out doing anything else, and then turn it back on after 20s or so to check if you have the same issue. If you have the same issue then wait 10 mins or so, or jack the connection and replug to get it working again.

              • @jkim: Tested it last night with both tests you mentioned and it’s worked fine. So far so good.

                • @Deuce: You're lucky you got a good one. I searched Dell forums and it looked like the issue wasn't isolated to me - maybe a bad batch.

  • Bugger! I have about 5 Dell monitors I regularly use. No problems. Just bad luck mate.

    • Yeah just bad luck. Hopefully the replacement works fine if not I’d just ask for a refund.

      • I still brought one 👍

          Where to?

  • At this price point, would this be the best monitor under under $1000 for both Xbox Series X and work usage?

Only thing lacking seems to be USB C which would be convenient..

  • I've received mine, got mine hooked up via Displayport.
    It flashes/blinks/looses connection randomly.
    I've got 2 x screens running off displayports similarity, 1 x Samsung 49 inch ultrawide 49CRG9 4k@120hz and this Dell G3223Q 4k@144hz.
Has replaced an LG 27UD88 27 inch 4k screen, which never had this issue, on the same computer, same 5600xt video card, same dp cable.
A quick Google comes up with lots of hits for same reported issue with Dell monitors in general, but HDMI connections usually..
    Anyone else have this issue?
