Not a bug, it’s a feature.
These are a very nice quality bike, I have ridden one BUT the frame design seriously compromises it. There is a definite sort of flexing feel to the handling, very non sporty, this would be true on all step through frames though.
Unless you really really want a step through frame I would buying a conventionally framed LEKKER.
Some nice specs, but at the end of the day it's a hub motor. We've seen some nice mid drives around this price on OzBargain before..
I don't know much about bicycles. I mostly posted this deal for people that are interested in Lekker bikes for the code FREERACKX and FREERACK to get the free front rack so they don't miss out.
Indeed, a worthy post, as there are some good specs, most notably the weight and the inclusions of hydraulic brakes. The rack is a nice bonus.
not trolling at all but some ebike costs are close to 125/250cc motorcycle no?
I guess ebikes require less maintenance..

Uh you probably should go to the Lekker website then as their Amsterdam range, including the eBike Plus and GT versions, are belt driven (Gates belt).
FWIW at $1998 it brings it back to the price available pre-COVID. Was a fun ride for my partner & I but it's still too expensive for what it is IMHO.
If they just were say $1500 I think it'd be a great deal. Eg. Compare this to the $1799 Avant X6 posted today which is a larger battery, mid-drive motor, 10 speed it's a very difficult yes to go Lekker X.
OK since we're talking about LEKKER — any chance someone knows a discount code for their battery accessory?
I'd been eyeing off the 500Wh battery but its $848 which is painful, any discount would help.
Or if folks have had any experience with negotiating it down (eg. being a former owner) please let me know.
