ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4080 OC 16GB Video Card $1799 + Delivery ($0 SYD C&C) @ Scorptec

121

Not sure if any of your guys are interested, 4080 series cards are on discount across all brands from most retailers.
Though 40 series cards are famous for a low value for money, and 4080 is the worst, $500 off the highest mark is something some of us may consider, plus a copy of Diablo 4 for free.

Most 4080 OC cards are $1700 and up atm, I think it is a better choice than 4070TI OC ($1400ish) or 4070TI($1200)

This is not the cheapest deal for 4080 OC, ASUS TUF is never the cheapest series or brand.

Redeem a BONUS copy of DIABLO IV from ASUS if purchased before June 14th 2023

You need to add price in the title 👍

" I think it is a better choice for 4070ti around $1400ish".. yeh but those 4070 Ti's are now $1200ish..

    • +1

Anybody with more than half a brain capable of using a google search will be able to locate 4070 Ti's for $1199 with plentiful stock available. The '$1400' price should not be used to justify handing over even more cash to Nvidia when everyone can see all of these non-essential products sitting on shelves for months collecting dust.

      • agree with you, I was using 4070ti OC for comparison

        • Yep but even some of the $1199 models are 4070 Ti OC editions e.g. Galax 4070 Ti SG OC (2685MHz OC from 2610MHz base spec) and also come with Diablo IV. It's rated reasonably well amongst all 4070 Ti models

even then, would you waste $200 for someone to set the default clock a little higher for you while it is a few clicks to do it yourself?

  • +6

It's cheaper on eBay (eBay Plus required). $1,747.08

I don't think there is any price movement in the last month. In April, there was a deal for RTX 4080 + Samsung 1TB NVME SSD bundle for $1695. and the Eagle OC was $1655

Sad that the ozbargain posts for these turds are still a significantly higher price than the card should have launched at.

The 4000 series can stay rotting on shelves.

    • +5

Yep, Nvidia trying to take advantage of the market. Jensen can take his overpriced GPU's and shove it.

@Osiris: It's lower than it was in 2021 highs, nothing to be really proud of. Also they're valuing inventory at the current retail prices, not the price they will have to dump to in order to move the stuff soon…

            • -6

@buffalo bill: Putting aside many stocks are below the highs of that period, it was just $10 off that high last week, when at the same time their competitors Intel and AMD are much further below during this period of contracted consumer and global tech spending.

tldr: nvidia doing well despite your negs and complaints about stock being available :joy:

              • @Osiris: lol blasted past its ATH and gaming revenue increased in this weeks earnings report, keep negging away haters.

    • agree, if you ignore the 4000s, (for most ppl they should, unless one needs 4090 for whatever legit reason, 3000s card will do just fine, unless AV1 stuff, but again, thats not most ppl), you will get way better deal, and feels more like appropriate price.

Jensen Huang has gone mad, Jensen Huang has gone mad, Jensen Huang has gone mad, Jensen Huang has gone mad, JENSEN HUANG HAS GONE COMPLETELY MAD!
    4080's THROWN AWAY FOR $1799! 4090's A CRAZY $4089!

They're worried the 4060ti is going to be too good so they're cutting price on 4080.

      • +2

Yea looks like next gen will be just a refresh. They just need to rename 4080 to 5070 and make it pcie x8.

    • either that or they'll just make the 4060ti worse. gimp its memory to 6gb or pcie3 or no rebar… some diabolical shenanigans i can't fathom… :(

  • +2

if we're talking purely about 4080s, they've been 1699 for the longest time. this aint a deal as far as price for 4080 goes. and those 4070Tis are certainly mostly under 1200 now.

  • +4

This isn't a deal, this is normal pricing. For me, when they start hitting $1450-1500. That's when I'll start thinking about it.

But screw NVidia. They saw their chance and just screwed everyone. Great products but their strategy is awful. I'll never forget.

    • +3

I think 1100 is more reasonable.

  • +6

    3080 was $1150

  • +4

Surely you would just get the Gigabyte Gaming OC for $1699? Also a quick pcpartpicker check shows that this card has been $1799 for a while now

  • +1

how long can nvidia handle having these sit on shelves?

    • +2

nVidia is dominating AI training space at the moment so cheap graphics cards for general public, not anything soon I'm afraid.

Skynet… powered by nVidia (only kidding).

  • I was expecting more anti-Asus comments to be honest

    • The 4060 specs are out today, so we've got a new heel to dump on.

  • Dont, just dont.

  • This is the coil whine card isn't it?

  • +1

Its $1599 now with the new Ebay codes…

    • How are you getting $ 200 discount codes with Ebay?
The max is $ 100. Am I missing something?
      Thanks
