Good price - support local business

    • Yeah NVidia is from a small countryside city of Australia

      • -1

Computer Alliance is a foreign business?

        Situated in Brisbane?

Hmmmm some idiot Australians will think chinese businesses are local business next.

        Sigh…. So stupid

  • +5

A shame it won't physically fit in my case! If only the founder edition cards were sold locally because they would be a perfect fit

  • +14

    Pass

Massive issues with the eagles not having enough thermal pads and glue connecting the heatsink to the Voltage regulators and Memory.

Pay 50 bucks more get a gaming edition

These have to start coming down soon, there is apparantly massive inventory overstock on 4000 cards as people aren't buying them.

And with the 7900xtx going 100 bucks off from next week these are too Overpriced

    • what's meant to cause the 7900xtx to drop? genuinely curious

    • +1

what is the price for 7900xtx next week?

    • It's funny how cheaper brands like pny have better cooling. The base model MSI and Gigabyte cards always have had woeful cooling.

      • +2

Noone wants the cheaper brands because randoms on ozbargain will tell everyone to buy MSI and gigabyte instead

        • Like they used to tell everyone to buy Asus mobos 😂

    • Have you got a link to this mate?

I can't find it anywhere. Everyone saying the eagle and gaming are pretty much the same no issues

    • Where have you heard / read that ?

  • +2

    This is the way

    500 bucks too high

Redeem a BONUS copy of DIABLO IV from Gigabyte if purchased before June 14th 2023 (T&C's Apply)(au.aorus.com)

I checked with one of their sales reps on 12th May and they said the promotion for Diablo IV ONLY applies for purchases through the website and not through EBAY. So buyer beware if you're doing it with the hopes of redeeming the game through the link provided in this post (for ebay store)

The funny part is, holding out on these things to drop has made me realise I don't really even need one for as long as my 1080 keeps on plugging along. If I'd been offered this price at Christmas, I would've dived on it like an absolute lemming.

    • Well yeah the thing with these is unless your current situation won't do you for 6 months, they'll always get better. top of the range today will be midrange tomorrow.

    • +1

As long as you avoid upgrading to a 4k monitor, an older mid-range card is fine. At the moment I am using my graphics card more for GPU acceleration of application, than of games. Nvidia cards are great at AI upsizing images and saving textures in the BC7 DDS format.

    • Im still holding on to my old 1080 currently haha, but i want to make the jump to a 4080 if the right deal comes up. Otherwise if i land a good 2nd hand 3080 that might work too.

      • +2

Good second hand 3080 is floating around the $800 mark ATM. With some eBay deals (if you're an eBay plus member), a good 4070 can set you for close to very low $900's. Plus it has the 12GB VRAM & fresh warranty. I wouldn't waste my coin on a 3080 unless if you got it for $650 - $700 with invoice + warranty balance

        • +2

Totally agreed all sitting around $900 on marketplace which is nuts for a 2yo used card when a 4070 is around $900 with alot less power consumption. I suppose alot of those hopeful sellers probably paid twice as much during covid lol

        • Yeah I'm still seeing new 3080s being sold for 1800 on ebay which makes 0 sense to me.

Lowest used I saw was actually 510 which is pretty good but otherwise it's mostly being sold in the 700-800 range.

      • +1

        I went from a 1080TI to a RTX4070TI, no regrets @ 1440p

  • Waiting for the pny to drop. It has better cooling with a smaller cooler

    • If you want the best performer in cooling and noise, cant beat the tuf model based on reviews.

  • +1

MSI Suprim X OC down to 1800, decided that was worth the premium. D4 is a nice bonus.

    • Hey man. Interested in the Suprim 4080. How are you finding it?

      • Nice bit of kit, runs cool and looks great. Has currently handled everything I have thrown at it with no issue, so have not tried to OC any more on top.

        • Thanks! Mines on the way. Hoping to avoid the coil whine lottery

          • @AusDaniel: Was a little worried about that, but mine seems fine so far.

  • Jesus people are still buying these horrible cards?
