  • Washing the face and washing the new fun bottom sensor to meet the short-term water demand. When the sensor enters the bottom sensing area (with a limited distance of 10cm), the water starts. When the sensor is away, the water is stopped. If the sensor stays in the bottom sensing area, the water will stop automatically after more than 20 seconds of water discharge, which is needed for daily cleaning.

I can tell you right now that my ‘fun bottom cleaning’ takes a good deal longer than 20 seconds.

  • I wonder if you could teach your dog to activate it to fill their water bowl.

  • +2

    It’s a bit fugly

    • +2

It’s like your tap has its own ankle bracelet

  • +2

How reliable is it? If it breaks and leaks just once that could be a years worth of water saving gone.

Edit: I guess you still use the taps

  • What is this supposed to do?

    • +6

It turns your dumb tap into one of those touchless ones you get at shopping centres that don't work half the time.

    • +1

      It's designed to waste $23.

  • how often need to recharge?

  • should be self charging or regenerating with the water flow.

    • Nope not self charging. Ships with a charging cable.

  • Reviews say that it stops working after 5-6 months

  • Problem with IR sensors is that sunlight in your sunny bathroom either triggers false positives or overpowers the sensor stopping you from using it.

  • So do I just order it and throw it straight into the bin? Seems like very pointless landfill.

  • This gadget is pointless.

The whole point of a mixer tap is that you use the controls to adjust the hot and cold water flow. This involves touching the laps. So, unless you will only want the same mix all the time you’ll still need to touch the taps.

    • By the look of it you use it for things like washing vegetables where you, traditionally, use cold water.
