I mean to say that I would buy the Pixel 7a for $749 if there was $500 cashback because after the JB giftcard, the phone would essentially cost $149
…I could resell the phone for $500 and make a profit.
Interesting pricing strategy. The 7a is also the same price. I don't believe there's much difference between the two.
The 7 is a bit larger with glass on the back.
The 7a has a larger battery and higher MP camera and a larger sensor, but slower charging.
The gap is quite small between the both of them.
7a can be had for substantially less, around $450 or so

Click frenzy last week. Stacked discounts giving $128 off (+ approx another $18 from cashback), and then the $150 gift card. Total, $453.
The 7 has faster wired and wireless charging, the screen also gets much brighter than the 7A. At times I can't but complain about the dim screen on the 7A, but then I remind myself I got it for $674, a free case, and $150 Google credit, $67 Google one credit, that I intend to use to buy the buds pro when it goes back on sale again.
How'd you get all that?

Well, that's only because they haven't discounted the 256GB it't not a norm.
hmmm 7a for same price with $150 gift card. Not a surprising move considering the 7a priced the 7 out of the market.
Just pricematched at Officeworks for $711.55. Also, there was a glitch on Officeworks website and saw the price at $737 before reverting back. Looks like Officeworks will decrease the price to $737 tomorrow.

I mean just walk in and show them the jb hifi website and let them verify. If it does come up as glitch on their end, that is really not your problem, and they should price beat it.
Just go to the store and ask if you can price match JB Hi-Fi. Show them the price on their website and if it is cheaper than what's on Officeworks, they will not only match it, they'll beat it by 5%! Price beat guarantee!

Only thing I miss on the 7a is the faster charging
The 7a is dimmer, that bothers me more than the 18w wired charging. (Couldn't care for wireless tbh)
I compared the brightness indoors to me P30 Pro and I was suprised that the whites were alot brighter on the 7a.
In store it seemed dimmer. I need to take the 7a outside on a sunny day and see if I can still see the screen with sunnies on. My P30 pro does fail at this on really bright days.
Not bad to get the 7a if you needed new earbuds. I already have one and didn't want to hold on to store credit I might never use.

Is this better than the S23 Ultra, no. Is this better than other Samsung phones, yes and no. Gotta be specific what Samsung model you want to compare against, because the Pixel is better than some samsung and worse when compared to their high end ones.
I say this because, 2-3 weeks ago I picked up from the Samsung Edu store a A54+ galaxy watch combo for $549, sold the watch $150 so the phone for me was $399, so for that price I would pick the A54 over the Pixel 7A even with the $150 credit.
Y'all crazy taking a A54 over a p7 or even P7A IMO.
