Looks like ANA have dropped their Tokyo fares to compete with the recent JAL deal. Prices starting from $1192 return flying Economy.

Lots of options available flying out Sydney from the July period (including an overlap with the second week of school holidays) through to November. There may be other options available.

Pricing is also great flying Business for example departing Sydney 15 July returning 29 July priced at $3090 Expired

I recently booked with JAL at a slightly lower price but this deal stacks up very well given ANA is a premium airline and those business seats pricing looking real nice

          Maybe it's marked as a business expense and they write it off for tax which helps them more than the upfront cost of the ticket. Or maybe companies reimburse the tickets.

          Because there should be a competitive market in place to force the price to be "reasonable".
          If someone else was doing the business class for $2K then there wouldn't be any demand at $4K.

          The fact that this price exists, and there's demand for it, is a market failure.

      Yes it is compared to pre covid which regularly had flights at under $1000, but I would say this is almost close to normal as there were around $2k flights up until recently.

      If going by economy comfort I'd regularly pick JAL as they have the 8 abreast 787, but I'd say one advantages of this ANA flight is that you can pick 2 daytime flights, which some people absolutely detest overnight flights in economy due to the lack of sleep you get.

    • Sale ends Mon 29/05, 11:59pm
    • Sydney-Tokyo leg has to be flown between 15/07-14/09 or 02/10-30/11, with a maximum stay of 1 month
    • Ticket is non-changeable and non-refundable
    • Books into L for economy and P for business

    I can only pray for one day JAL and ANA will fly out from Brisbane to Japan. Will definitely use them instead of Qantas or Jetstar !!

    Price on business class is good and same as what I had pre-Covid. However these prices are no change, no refund. Pre-Covid I would buy without a blink. Nowadays, after several times in the past changing itinerary and cancelling, it is just too risky. Refund and cancel with a fee will cost $4800.

    Has anyone else been double charged for their booking? From some googling looks like some airlines double charge, and one of the charges stays on pending and gets refunded
