Great price. Could really build a nice pc with those ebay sales.

So tempted! $430 is a great price for something so powerful.

13600KF is $401.7 if not needing iGPU:

Its always good to have an igpu for troubleshooting.

For $30 I’d say it’s pretty worth it to have a backup if your GPU fails or you’re between upgrades.

  • So are some of their prices inflated?

    ie: $349 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/175340934599

With discount comes down to $272, sounds good?

But other retailers normal price $279 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/125940513541

And with code from them, drops to $259.

      Jack has come as always.

      • Jack seldom leaves, occasionally you may find he has taken a smoke break but that's about it

  • Pity they are sold out of 13700k

  • Will you guys get a correction plate for this? Looks easy. But don't really like the idea of voiding warranty. And sounds like a design fault.

    • Thermalright LGA1700-BCF Gray 12 Generation Intel Anti-Bending Fastener, Bending Type Pressure Plate, CPU Fixed Fastener, Full-Fitting Fixed Non-Marking Installation, Standard for Coolers https://amzn.asia/d/8bRIgsw

      Would something like this work?

        Would something like this work?

That’s the one (unless you want to go full on with thermal grizzly and use a jeweller’s torque driver)

        • Thanks I ended up going with this one since it was $10 cheaper and seemed to be the same:

ElecGear Intel CPU Anti-Bending Contact Frame for 13th and 12th, Aluminum Mod ILM for Intel LGA1700/LGA1800 Socket, Replacement CPU Retrofit Mount Kit Fixing Buckle and Thermal Paste https://amzn.asia/d/7DUcSmx

Will this be ok in your opinion?

@JSONBourne: You want either the thermalright one or the much more expensive thermal grizzly one (which is also more difficult to install correctly)

The TR one is simple to install (you just screw it in all the way) but I suggest you check out gamer’s nexus video on the contact frame since it has a section on how to install

            • @povogamer: Thanks so much for your help with this. So just to make sure I've got the right kit, this is the right one? https://www.amazon.com.au/Thermalright-LGA1700-BCF-Anti-Bend…

It's for the 12th gen, but it looks like it may work for 13. I have a MSI PRO Z790-A motherboard

Will definitely check out that video for install instructions, thank you for your help!

@JSONBourne: Yes that thermalright one sold by suomole is the one. You are right in that it says it’s for 12th gen but it works with 13th gen because they have the same LGA1700 socket - it’s just that these came out when the 12th gen was the latest. Also I ordered the black one from the same seller and mine says LGA1700 instead of “Intel 12th” if that matters. Hope this helps

                • @povogamer: Incredible, thank you so much for your help! Going to order now thanks a million.

    • Does it void warranty? Technically setting RAM at XMP profiles voids warranty and well…

Btw the thermalright one is indeed very easy to install

Any good motherboard and ram deals to go with this? Been out of the PC building world for some time now

    • I have the same question. I was looking at this one , only issue is crrection plate some were suggesting above, not sure if it would need one

      • +1

I don't think the bending issue is really applicable to 13th gen, I didn't notice any difference using 13700k on z690 tomahawk, granted I only used it without the bracket for about a month.
