  • Had the 6600xt eagle model when it was $350. I was really impressed with it considering "eagle" is meant to be a lower tier model. Maybe I was lucky, but it handled overclocking well.

      Userbenchmark is trash FYI.

      • +8

That's not fair to trash. Most trash once had a purpose

        • +2

The purpose was to shill for Intel lmao

      • What's good to use to compare cards?

        • +3

Literally every other outlet. Toms hardware is good. Gamers Nexus does graphs too. All Userbenchmark reviews are the same. "AMD is bad and only stupid people buy them. Please notice me senpai NVIDIA gawkgawkgawk"

A750 is already sub-$200 USD, will continue. RTX 3050 exists and has transitioned to GA107, so that'll be cheap.

RTX 4060 will plunge below $400 AUD quickly enough, RTX 4050 will exist but may take time due to the laptop market.

The key point here is that if you're gaming at 1080p60, iGPUs tend to meet your needs now. 1080p120 is where dGPUs kick in.

Timeframe on 4060 dropping below AUD$400 ? Cheapest new 3060 is $403 (staticice) after all this time.
ALSO go play any new game, or recentish AAA game on igpu, especially ones that require vram, see what happens.

      • Timeframe on 4060 dropping below AUD$400

        August-ish

Cheapest new 3060 is $403 (staticice) after all this time.

This is residual from crypto craze, 1050, 1050 Ti and 1060 prices were awful for a long while after the previous bubble because that's all most people could afford.

ALSO go play any new game, or recentish AAA game on igpu, especially ones that require vram, see what happens.

I'm familiar, just highlighting that this is how it's going… true budget dGPU gaming was a niche within a niche. Current VRAM edge cases reflect limited dev work for optimisation and new feature sets.

Plenty of mobile architectures with a shared memory pool, and near-memory should soon become a thing that SoC/chiplet designs will use, and iGPUs will utilise for mobile and desktop.

Keep in mind that iGPUs and embedded designs only just hit RDNA2 and Ampere levels, while Intel is a step behind.

The demand for xx50 is limited due to the xx60/xx70/xx80 cards on a 4-5 year buying cycle making more sense historically, and desktop sales are a small cut compared to mobile.

  • I got the MSY deal 6650xt for $340, but this deal is good if you cannot stretch the extra $50 (6650xt deal may be expired).

  • Would this card be good for a 4 monitor setup (2dp and 2xhdmi) and run cool with minimal power consumption? Not for gaming but occasionally need to edit video using clipchamp or capcut.

      3x DisplayPort 1.4a, 1x HDMI 2.1

Need a DP to HDMI converter for one of the monitors

Depending on your monitor resolution and refresh rate, idle could be anywhere from 5W to 15W each - could you live with max 60W idle?

      • Thanks mate. From the photo on the ebay listing, it has 2 x DP and 2 x HDMI - but it is fine either ways I can use the DP to HDMI converter no probs.

Idle 15w and max 60w is quite good. Is this the lowest i could possibly get for a GPU with 4 monitors output?

        • +1

You are right - card is 2x DP and 2x HDMI - so no converter required

Is this the lowest i could possibly get for a GPU with 4 monitors output?

Lowest wattage or lowest priced GPU?

          • @Look Up: lowest wattage i mean.

            • @jeeg: You would have to check other forums

Most people running quad monitors are not counting watts

  • Just realized this is for ebay plus member only. I canceled my plus membership sometime back so i guess this deal is not available for me?

  • Wow amazing. A GTX 1080 with a memory bus identical to a GTX 970

amd fans "but it uses half the power despite it's awful gimped memory"

  • +1

    Price further down to $280.02

  • Price drop, deal updated

RX 7600 down to $389.22 as well

  • Are they enough to play games at 2k?

    Current have 4790 CPU, 1060 3GB

    Is this really 145% fast?
