Great price! 256GB Silver looks to also be 21% off at $1247.

    • Better price below for eBay plus in silver, courtesy BaarOzGain

Look at the 2Tb price in comparison. Lol, where else would you find SSD storage at $1000/Tb

    • +3

Then just buy the storage itself and not the ipad if you want cheaper. Lol

      • +1

        I might!

  • +5

need a 12.9" sale, anyone seen 12.9 on sale anywhere?

  • +4

M2 is overkill, I’d look for a second hand M1

    • +3

True, software support will lapse years before the hardware has any performance issues. In short, what's the point of this device…other than…ah, right $

      • +2

Or never ending hope that Apple allows iPadOS to be truly useful ;)

        • Exactly, I'll buy one when it's running MacOS.

          • +3

            @vodamerc: You’ll be waiting a looooong time.

          • +1

@vodamerc: I know this isn't really a solution in any way shape or form, but a M1 mac mini connected to an iPad Air/Mini via side car, is a method of getting macOS to 'run' on iPads.

    • Do they still sell M1 variants brand new?

    • I have this M2 iPad Pro. It is great, but yes, seriously overpowered. Just get the M1.

  • +8

Cheaper here but silver only and for eBay Plus members
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/776925

    • You can buy a phone and iPad for identical prices!

  • been wanting to upgrade my 2017 ipad pro and waiting for an 11" with mini LED but it never came. And apparently that there's no new ipad this year.

  • -7

128gb is ridiculous. I personally bought a Xiaomi pad 6 pro 512gb, including the original keyboard and pen, all for $950 shipped.

    • +23

Yeah, but you bought a Xiaomi……

    • +4

The iPad would last much longer then Xiaomi, os updates after 2 years on the Xiaomi? Forget about it

    • +12

You paid $950 for a Xiaomi pad? You must be rich.

    • +4

Weird flex. Can you even access the Google AP store in these things?

  • Mini led on this version?

    • That's only for the 12.9" version unfortunately

      • Ok I will wait until they put mini led on the 11 inch version, next generation I'm hoping

      • Is the mini oled on the 12.9 the one where they say was the Oled one?

  • Bought 12.9” last week. Now I need to look for Magic Keyboard. What do you guys use? Apple branded or any other brands?

    • +2

Logitech Combo Touch for $189 goes on sale once in a while, Apple Magic Keyboard on sale on Catch for $439 if you want an Apple or ESR Rebound 12.9 for around $189

      • Combo Touch has been $199 for a long as time on Amazon AU for 12.9. I want 11 inch one lol

        • Just get this one.. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/304953504364?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…
          Comes to $116.22 after PWE22
I know it's not new, I bought one last month and it looked pretty much brand new…not a single mark on it.

          • @alterego13: looked 'pretty much' brand new… Meaning you could tell it wasn't new? We should see some deals on it soon and ultimately pay an extra $50-$60.

            • @XW8200SG: I could tell only because of the box.. That was probably not stored well. Comparing the keyboard side by side with a new one…I wouldn't be able to tell which is new and witch is not..
              Hope this helps

              • @alterego13: @alterego13 how's the key travel? on the folio touch it's horrible. perhaps only marginally better compared to the butterfly switches that I had.

Also, is there a guarantee wrt to the condition? How do i know how used they are before giving them my money? I know it's significantly below RRP, but i don't want to spend in excess of $100 on sth that's so used and disgusting… had a hand-me-down surface pro at work with a very old keyboard lol.

                • @dukeGR4: @duke790r
The key travel is OK. I haven't used any other similar type keyboard so hard to compare. But they're better than what I was imagining.
Regarding condition guarantee… If you have eBay plus, then it's free returns. The product I received seemed virtually brand new. The only way to tell this is a used (may be box damaged??) was that the box was not in perfect condition. The case/kb itself had no marks/scratches whatsoever.

  • +1

    This vs Tab S8?

  • +3

they're matching Catch, who do have Silver in stock https://www.catch.com.au/product/apple-11-inch-ipad-pro-wi-f…

  • +2

Officeworks don’t price beat back order items.

  • Awaiting for them to move the front facing camera placement :')

  • Are they usually pretty good with back order on Amazon ??
Wondering if these are australian stock with 2 years warranty too ?!

    • I think it depends on the product. I'm pretty sure you'll receive an email with estimated date next week for the ipad, but my vanilla frappe order from April is still pending.

      • What is vanilla frappe ? Coffee beans ?
If it is coffee, then good luck, probably still growing them

    • Just sharing some info.
I made the purchase as a back order.
Even though it says the fee will be charged only when item is shipped out, you still get charged the full amount once you make the order.
I has enough gift card account balance credit to cover the iPad cost. They deducted it directly.

I called up the customer service, they say they will still charge the full amount as an authorisation regardless of what method of payment.

Doesn’t really sync with what they state in their conditions.

Just beware of this if money is an issue for you as this is not exactly a cheap item and some of you will be out of pocket for 1k+ . If it gets sent out soon then all is fine. If it take 4 weeks, then you are 4 weeks down with 1k+

  • Unrelated to the deal but does anyone know why Australian iphones get 2 years warrantly, wheres internationally, its 1 year?

    • +1

      Statutory in Australia.

  • As someone that has avoided apple Phones/Tabs since Iphone 3, how is this compared to Samsung Tab? I mean ease of use, like can I download a movie on my Macbook and easily/quickly transfer it to the Ipad or do i have to go through Itunes and do it. If I remember correctly music/movies had to be managed using Itunes back in the days and that was one of the main reason i changed to android devices.
I have not really used a Iphone/Ipad since.

    • +1

As an android user and someone who could never navigate file transfer on iOS devices, the addition of 'Files' app is a game changer. Still not perfect but it's great between a PC and the iPad (through WiFi). So I guess if you have a MacBook you should be just able to Airdrop it? If not, transfer via. Files app is pretty great.

  • JBHI doesn't price match for back order too. Does anyone know how long is the wait for Amazon back order?

    • I have the same question. Managed to order one. Would they cancel the actual order?

      • +1

I recon at least a week from order date before they tell you estimated delivery. And that probably won’t be accurate either. People on back order (myself too) will probably cancel the order after 2 weeks without notice.

        • +1

          No updates after 4 days

          • +1

@lovepub: Cancelled the order and went with the 8% cashback from Apple instead with prepurchased gift card

  • I pulled the trigger on this one. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/780385
