  • Any DJI avanta integra googles deals?, I want to use with my mini 3 pro

    • +1

I believe the older FPV Goggles V2 version (4-antennas one) works with Mini 3 series.

      • I have the Goggles v2 and this deal caught my eye but upon searching more, it looks like it's only Mini 3 Pro that has the Goggles v2 support, not the Mini 3.

        • I stand corrected. The Pro has DJI O3 air unit therefore compatible with the Goggles V2, whereas the standard Mini 3 uses O2.

          • @Buy2Much: Yep just the pro which I have but I want the integra googles but so $$$

  • +2

    Wow seems like great price

    • +1

      nvm isnt the pro one…

  • I guess most people want the Pro model that's why we don't see much discount on Pro.

    • +2

Same 22% discount on the Pro too

      • Pro = $1,013.22
what is good about the pro

        Which is better to get?

DJI Mini 3 with DJI RC link(ebay.com.au) $732.42 delivered.

DJI Mini 3 with DJI RC link(ebay.com.au) $732.42 delivered.

            • @pinkybrain: I would get the one with built-in display DJI RC rather than mucking around fixing your phone to the controller and connecting your app. That's because I am impatient.

              • @Buy2Much: yeah.. looks interesting..
did you own any, and which model do you own?

would you get the Pro over the non pro?

Seem pro has few some better features especially with 4k 60fps vs 30fps
                and higher CMOS camera pixel
And it has slightly better flight time and distance.

                • +3

@pinkybrain: I got the Pro with RC as I like photography. Other people not too fussed about it and just want a drone to fly for fun or on a budget, would be happy with the standard version. Distance is a mooted point (10km vs 12km). The rules said you should not let the drone out of your eye sight anyway, I doubt anyone can see the mini past 400m. I remember the first DJI Mavic had 5km range and that was way more than enough.
DJI Mini 3 Pro is bulkier therefore has more drag. According to this, it caps out at 34 minutes of flight time whilst Mini 3 lasts for 38.

                  • @Buy2Much: The m300 is a pleasure to fly. Especially when you don’t have to pay for it but instead get paid to fly it. 🎶 Life is good today. 🎶

                    • @Maloo: And how is that related to everyone else here who don't work as a professional drone pilot?

                • +4

@pinkybrain: The pro also has obstacle avoidance which works pretty well from accounts.

      • +1

That’s a great deal on the pro! Bought!

  • Get the DJI RC version. Saves so much hassle connecting up your phone, getting interrupted by calls etc. Way easier, quicker and safer to get the drone up in the air with the controller with the screen.

Also probably worth getting the pro to reduce judder with 4K 60fps in good light and the new O3 transmission is mind blowing. With line of sight, I can fly my drone away from me for 5km before it even looks like loosing connection.

    • where do you fly it?
is it allowed fly around your house / street / neighbours?

Seems like you need to drive to some remote location just to fly these things
if not allowed close to where you lived in in the suburbs..

      • +1

Download the app OpenSky, it will show you where you can fly. Plus read the CASA guidelines which tell you not to fly in national parks and over people…

      • +2

        CASA approved app = OK2FLY.

Very useful can I fly/can't I fly mapping. Just drop a location and it tells you point blank.

        • which app works better? OK2FLY or opensky, and also wow didn't realise alot of places in sydney CBD is not restricted space and can just fly it.

          • @kypermaster: Download both and try for yourself. Both are CASA approved, but in my opinion OK2FLY is better because of a very simple interface. Both work well, but OK's 'traffic light' colour coding is full proof. You can try both web-based versions here: https://www.casa.gov.au/knowyourdrone/drone-safety-apps

Just drop your intended flight location and it'll tell you in an instant whether you should or not.

    • What do you use it for? I've been trying to think of a business use for it but I dunno, I'll probably never find anyone willing to pay me to use it. Is the video good enough quality for a promotional video on a website?

      • +1

You need CASA license to fly drone for business and it’s not cheap.

    • i agree ive had a phone glitch on me when flying its not fun.

  • Looks like the pro is out of stock?

    • There were 3 left when I commented. You must be one of the lucky 3!
The refurb ones I commented yesterday were also gone soon after…

    • +1

      They just restocked, 9 more!

  • I think the war in ukraine is consuming all these up and making the price stay at retail.

    • They aren't using mini's. Using the pros for longer range recon and to drop nades

      • Any deals on nades?

      • they are using whatever they can get their hands on

        • They are well supplied by their allies.

  • +3

Just trying to get my bargain bearings. Looks like the price to aim for the mini pro 3 and RC is $1000 and around $200 for the flymore kit?

    • +1

That’s about right 1000ish for the Pro RC, 200 for standard fly more (Fly More Plus has longer range batteries so costs a bit more).

  • +4

Thanks OP, got the DJI Mini 3 Pro and the DJI Mini 3 Pro Fly More Kit Plus. I officially have a new hobby :)

    • +1

the use of plus battery will result in the drone exceedign the limit 250g.

      • Yeah. You are right. I will have the option to use the regular battery if I need to. However, most of what I have in mind is in locations where the 250gm rule will not be an issue.

    • Why not the combo that comes to 1078? Am i doing my math wrong here?
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/155567299401?_trkparms=amclksrc%…

      • +2

youknow bought the Mini 3 Pro!

        • +1

Ah.. my bad! Had boys look

  • I really want to buy one for photography. Has this been the best price for fly more combo and dji RC?

  • Anyone got any recommendations on how to learn to fly.

Got myself the Pro and flying in about 2 weeks to Europe and have zero drone experience.

Any recommendations, just fly, watch some YouTube video, read the manual. Will take it somewhere local when I get it and fly in a fly-safe zone away from any hazards and practice, but looking for some extra things I can read up on or watch to get my experience up prior to taking it overseas where there are winds/mountains/unfamiliar territory and beaches to contend with.

Also, how many hours of flight time did owners need before they felt confident to understand the drone and its capabilities that flying becomes second nature so that they could spent their time operating the gimbal.

    • +2

its the easiest thing to fly honestly
Theres really no way for you to mess it up

You can see exactly where the drone is via the map
it sets the home point when you take off
you can set the drone to return if it loses reception
make sure you set that up in the settings and take into account the return home height

you will need maybe 20 - 30 min to learn all of it.

On top of that its got obstacle avoidance so the chances of you hitting anything are zero.

      • +1

Trees are your biggest problem, just learn away from trees and you will be fine. It seems obvious, but they take up more space than you think, especially with these drones that can move fast, and take a certain distance to go from full speed to a stop.

    • When I bought a DJI Phantom back in the day, I would've suggested some serious practice before going on a holiday.

These Mini 3's, with their GPS, RTH, Collision Sensor, etc…. It couldn't be easier. Just go out for a fly in an open field one time. After that, you'll be confident.

      • Thanks everyone that replied for your help. Been watching some YouTube videos and I will need to practice those 'creative' video pans, e.g operating both joystiks simultaneously, even thowing in a bit of zoom. Got a bit open field to play in. Also got to practice hand launching and landing as landing on long grass and sand may not be a good idea.

    • DJI mini 3 pro and dji fly more kit plus for 1078

      • Just realised. Thanks!

  • Question regarding fly more combo plus kit. Heard that the weight will go to more than 250gm if using this battery. Is it worth taking the risk then or better stick to non plus model?

    • +1

It will be more than 250gm, however, the new rule is delayed.

The Australian Government has decided to pause the planned introduction of a registration scheme for recreational drones (model aircraft) more than 250 g which was due to commence on 1 July 2023.

      • Thanks. Just bought both mini pro and fly more plus. Hope to put them to good use unlike the unpacked Dji action cam even after I completed my UK trip!

        • If you take it overseas, better check their rules about 250gm. I believe the rule already applies in Europe at least.

          • @Buy2Much: TLDR. Can you give me a quick summary?

            • +1

@first in line: I find that the rules vary across every country, and are often very confusing, but most places under 250g is fine away from the obvious stupid places to fly. While I do not want to advocate doing the wrong thing, the biggest advantage of the 250g class is that they are small, hard to see and pretty quiet. If you do not fly them near anybody (or obvious stupid areas like airfields) you should be fine.

If you fly near/over people, airfields, military bases, over significant locations (eg the colosseum in Rome) or the like, then you are being stupid and deserve to get fined.

  • Good drone, I hear the battery life with the plus is crazy on the basic 3

  • +1

out of stock now for the pro

  • +1

i like the new remotes with the screen. i want the pro, but i barely fly my current mavic air (best looking drone made).
i know if i buy this, i will fly it like crazy for a few months, then it will just collect dust again :(

  • Could you connect drone with both goggle2 and rc monitor? Kind of give Goggle for kids but control using rc and monitor by adult?

  • Can mini 3 pro do both rc control and FPV?

  • Always interested in owning a drone. Just wondering if anyone knows if we can fly drone freely in Japan? We have a few nights in Takayama n it may be a great place to take photos with a drone. Thanks

  • +1

I have the Pro, it's a terrific device. It takes very stable videos and pics in high winds, flies itself back to base, and all kinds of other stuff.
If you consider the advances in technology needed to handle the gyro stabilisation, GPS guidance etc etc you realise the genius of this technology advancement.
In the 90s the equivalent was remote controlled helicopters, fuel powered that took a very high skill level and sounded like a chainsaw. You had to keep it stable with skill and they were therefore regularly smashed on the deck. It was thousands for a decent one.

    • Yep but the downsides here is when the automation on these fails from time to time, hands control over to the operator(Atti mode), user doesn't know what to do and ends up losing or crashing the copter.

  • I had a pro and if you are buying for the purpose of taking pictures I strongly recommend that you DO NOT buy one.

I went through four separate drones, each of which had massive issues with very soft focus in at least one corner. I'm not talking the type of mild softness you would expect form any mid-range camera lens, I'm talking major blur that only existing in typically 1-2 corners and strongly suggested to me that there is a major problem with sensor/lens alignment.

DJI seemed to know there was a problem - they immediately replaced it every time, but unfortunately they kept sending replacements with the same issue.

A real shame because otherwise it was a fantastic device.

  • +1

    Has anyone had their's shipped?

    • +1

Not shipped and no reply to messages about tracking…… Hope they are legit

    • same. no response to message. I think it is dodgy now as they have hijacked another ebay seller account where most of the positive feedback has nothing to do with drone sales.

      • I checked the reviews before buy and noticed the same. Not a single review for the same product though ebay shows they sold few. They have a website buy no contact number or ABN listed. They claim they are authorised dji reseller and all stock is local.

        • The store appeared to be called valisehomewaresoutlet. Looks like its been rebirthed as a drone store or hijacked.

I also noticed the quantity of available stock was increased throughout the weekend. As they were sold, more stock was added.

          • @mrhugo: The website https://dronecity.com.au/ appears very suspect. New domain with questionable whois infomation. The logon page doesn't work, or even the newsletter. No ability to even create an account.

Is there a technique to cancel the order?

            • @mrhugo: Cancel windows is passed. Only way seems to be the ebay dispute. Did anybody raise a dispute yet?
For me estimated delivery shows as Wed 31 May - Fri 2 Jun. I guess I would wait until Friday and cancel the order. What does others think?

              • @Sigiriya: ebay got buyer guarantee. I am sure we will get our money back. Just a big time waster! I suggest you all file dispute as soon as you are able to.

    • Hasn't shipped

    • Hopefully everyone gets their drones, otherwise this is one of the biggest scams pulled under EBay's nose through their Plus Weekend promo.

      • Whats the consensus here? Bail or wait? Also messaged and got nothing back.

        • You cannot dispute until tomorrow. So don’t have those two options yet. And to make the matter worse, Goodguys has the drone on sale if you need one immediately. But without cancelling this I don’t want to buy it.

          • @Sigiriya: I searched the DJI accredited sellers this morning and they didn't appear in the list despite claiming to be one on their website.

            • @enjaysee: Yes, I already checked yesterday. However I feel like the DJI accredited sellers listing may not have all the online sellers. So I gave the benefit of the doubt. Hope this resolves without a drama.

              • @Sigiriya: Just got an email to say that eBay has placed a hold on their account for too many orders… not sure how read this.

  • Just received this. Thoughts?

Thanks for your recent order and I hope you are well!

Unfortunately due to the volume of sales over the weekend, eBay have put a hold on our account (despite the 10+ years and thousands of transactions) which means the funds from these sales haven't been released to us.

Usually this would not be an issue as we keep a range of DJI product in stock, but due to the number of sales over this promotion we were relying on our supplier (the official DJI distributor for Australia) to ship the products directly to you.

Unfortunately as a smaller business, we don't have the tens of thousands required to pay for the inventory until the funds are released by eBay and were of course not expecting them to do this based on our history on the platform. We've been in contact with them non stop to try and resolve this, but understandably their concern is around safety for Customers.

We're obviously very dissapointed and know this will be equally dissapointing for you. We can of course cancel the order right away for a full refund if there is any concern around your order. Alternatively, we are working to release as many orders as we can in batches, but this is taking a few days at a time as eBay have a 72 hour review process, meaning it could be around 2 weeks until the order is released.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed, and apologies again for this inconvenience.

    • Got the same email. Ironically getting the fly more bundle delivered from Amazon today… If I don't have a tracking number after 2 weeks I'll cancel the order.. I figure at least they reached out.

    • +1

Received the same. I requested to cancel and I can see cancellation and refund is pending. So I would recon the seller is genuine. I simply cannot wait so I am going with GG as they have 10% off. That deal is not good as this. But I need it urgently.

  • hmmmm, it appears alarm bells were ringing at eBay. The account had all the characteristics of a hijacked account selling high value desired items. No wonder it got flagged.

If these guys buy from an official supplier and shipped directly I wonder if that's how they are claiming approved reseller.

If this story is legit, it seems that the seller got a bit greedy buy constantly adding inventory to their listings. Are they expecting their supplier to ship 50K worth of items without prior history. Probably doesn't have a credit line with the supplier.

The way I see it, eBay will need to release the funds, which puts eBay at risk, or the supplier takes the risk and dispatches without payment….or the items are released one at time.

If the later is the case, for anyone who has theirs dispatched keep us updated. A tracking number doesn't mean crap if an old brick arrives in the box.

    • I have requested the seller to cancel and refund my order. I am not willing to risk it with a seller that is obviously conducting dubious conduct and give them more time and compromise my ability to raise a dispute. If they dont refund me today, I will dispute it tomorrow.

UPDATE : At least my refund is processed within a few minutes. All good and we can always buy from somewhere else. Why supporting a dubious seller?

      • Are you able to give me more information as to how you can tell they are dubious?

        • gut feel - hijack account, increasing qty available. they may honour it if you wait long enough. Now with money back to me, I can look for it elsewhere. I may not get the same price but at least my money is intact!

          • @Breamo808: Exactly what I thought.

          • @Breamo808: My gut feel too. Have you got confirmation of a refund from a bank perspective?

            • @enjaysee: I used gift vouchers. so all back to me. as long as your refund notice is issued by ebay. You be good.

  • +1

I am wondering anyone else here, like me, is giving them a few more days to sort the issue out.

    • +1

yes, I'm fine with waiting, and I've read the rules about ebay buyer protection, and refunds should not be an issue at all.
As long as you don't mind waiting, I see no harm giving them time. I've seen this happen before, and it's worked out fine in the end.

      • I'm still waiting but my patience is running thin…

        • I’m still waiting too. Wonder if anyone has received the drone yet…

  • I got my refund. I would not support this seller as they sell products without any stock. basically just advertising on ebay and resell direct from DJI. If they don't have fund and should not run a retail business. Simple as that. Anyone can do that just redirect selling something. They need a lesson to learnt need money to invest a business. Not run a business without a dollar.

  • +2

did anyone get their drones delivered? I am still waiting and the seller didn't reply on eBay.

    • Sorry to hear that. I'd cancel if I was you.

Note to self: Not to post bargains on OB for small stores who likely don't have the resource to deal with large number of orders.
