Given the Edge 1030 plus retails for around $850, this seems like a cracking deal for those in the market for a bike computer and HR monitor. In my opinion, out of all the sensors, the HR monitor is the one you want to get from the get go.
I'm assuming the price has dropped as the 1040 is out, but this is still a fantastic unit, especially at this price.
I bought the 1040 a few months ago when it was also on sale for $799. I like the new interface and the climbing info— but having this said i last used a bike computer more than 5 years ago on a 820. At the time of purchase wahoo had some bad news re finance so they were out of my shortlist.
The size of this 1030/1040 is pretty huge… it's nice when i use for indoor trainer but outdoor sometimes i feel unnecessary
pushys are selling the 1040 for $795 (in and out of stock), managed to get one for $715 on ebay with the 10% afterpay deal this week
Hmmmm …..this or the 540? Or just the Bolt 2? Love the new climbing feature on the Bolt, that's a handy little software update by the looks of it.
