Staff haven’t been made aware of this promo until now so I’m not 100% sure, bus as far as I know all McCafe hot beverages will be included, likely excluding the birthday lattes/promo items
I'd assume anything you can order from the mccafe rewards section… So probably yes to hot chocolate, chai, iced latte, iced choc.
Just checked the app - it’s only giving coffee options. No hot chocolate, chai latte or tea :(

Yeah get, it's a no brainer. It, it's free and mcdonalds coffee had been good 9 out of 10 times I've had to get it. I meant there's people here actually investing time debating quality of said free coffee made by a bunch of students working unpaid overtime. What annoys me most about Maccas coffee is a lot of times it's luke warm.

My feedback on the weekend worked. Asked them what was big deal about birthday if there is no freebie to it after buying a poorly made coffee.

Total chaos at my local Macca's. I gave up after waiting 45 mins. The kids making the coffees have lost all control. They are not even calling out order numbers anymore. They are just making random coffees to whoever is complaining the loudest at the counter.

Drive thru is the way to go. They were run off their feet making coffees but I got mine pretty quick.
Every man and his dog was walking around with a medium McCafe beverage today. Peeked into Macca's and it was shoulder to shoulder. Not worth it IMO
I thought would be like that at my local. I was only car in drive thru. Ordered two free coffees in two accounts.

every person and their dog at the Bourke St maccas getting an afternoon coffee today. Felt a bit sorry for the staff, didn't realise how busy it was until I got there (and had already made the order on the app). Took a good 30-40 mins to get my order…reminds me of the old adage, if it's free you're likely just paying for it with your time.

Any suggestions for how to buy a coffee that doesn't taste like coffee? Mocha and tick 1/4 strength and then tick 5 x free chocolate powder and 1-5 x sugar packet?

FWIW, I ordered this at 11:40pm last night just before it expired and picked it up today, hoped it would be free but unfortunately not. I believe that used to work but now they don’t process the order until you’re actually in location.
I am lucky to meet the generous one. After i clicked I'm here this morning, they couldn't see my order code, but they manually process a free one for me.
To summarise, it doesn't work for next day collection.
