  • I love that big front roller

    • The colour and design stands out compared to other vac bots. Maybe Dyson sells for their aesthetics on this than use. There are people who would want to flex that their Dyson's are better than others.

"Maybe Dyson sells for their aesthetics on this than use"

They sell a hair drier for $500, the only real selling point is it has a hole in the middle, I mean how much better can you make a hair drier, it's just a device that blows warm air.

        • +2

I mean you could say the same thing sviut anything really. Why buy expensive clothes when you can get $3 t shirts from Kmart. How much better can you make a shirt. It’s just material that covers your body.

        • +3

The hair dryer literally dries my hair in 1/3 of the time compared to other hair dryers. The time savings is worth the amount I paid for the device.

          • +1

@jjjaar: Really? How? Is the air hotter or is the air movement faster? Genuinely curious.

            • +1

@Buyingcrap: Similar to the dyson hand dryer that you use in shopping centers, with more settings hot/cold. I think the idea is using narrow strong airflows rather than heat, so it also doesn't feel as hot as normal hair dryer.

Not sure if Dyson has earned its stripes at this price point in the robo bot market…

Honestly the tech has nothing on the S7 MaxV Ultra at a lower price point.

    • Check out max v deal at 1800 with perks. Sounds like a great buy. Most of the earlier deals have been with the cheaper dock. This one automates the mop cleaning too. Guys expert's opinion please ?

    • How many air watts does the s7 make?

  • +7

That’s the most kickable design I’ve seen.

I’m beginning to hate on Dyson a little bit for some reason

      A squashed V6?

At least you can't miss it

This thing designed in the dark?

  • +4

is it hideous or just me?

    • +1

Mr Dyson: We need to design a robot vac.
Design Team: No need to re-invent, let's flatten the stick vac.

  • +1

How good sucker is this one ? Max v is 5100 I guess.

    • +2

Probably not as good as me :)

      • Username checks out.

  • Oh wow Dyson finally has a robot vacuum. Must check out the reviews.

    • It's actually their third attempt. At least this one fits under furniture.

    • I remember a while ago Mr Dyson was bitching about how he missed the opportunity on patenting some of the features before irobot. Look like finally got his chance lol

    There goes my other limb

thanks got 10, for my tiny studio

  • $2,399 from JB, not sure if you can use it with Perks voucher.

EDIT: Seem voucher couldn't apply to this.

Why would you pay this much for a vac that doesn't have a mop?

    • I have a dog with long long hair..

      • +3

        …who does the mopping?

        • LOL!!!

The thing is most robot‘s spin brushes will be entangled with my dog's hair, and I'm pretty sure Dyson's won't. I'm very happy with my Dyson V15's anti-tangle comb.

      • sure… so just pay less for a diff vac that doesn't mop

  • +2

Dyson lost the ball on this one. After so many years this is what they come up with?

  • +2

2.2k and they couldn’t throw in free shipping? Jeeze.

  • +2

Lol, what a joke at this price point.

    • Nah, are you really expecting it to be cheaper?
      As expected typical Dyson pricing.

    • +1

      Dyson trying to be Apple

  • This or airwrap?

  • Extreme price point for a robovac, May aswell just wait for Roborock depreciation to hit in further where you will be able to get it for half the price of this.
