MS doesn't sell Diablo 4 on PC.
The only way to get Diablo 4 on PC is via Blizzard store and it is (profanity) $109. I haven't paid more than $70 for a new PC game in years because you can normally get it from GMG or Amazon.

@jimmyleet: I've been enjoying Grim Dawn more with a controller these days. D4's controls are even more controller friendly.
@sallan75: In diablo games sometimes you have like 1 second to exit a crowd or you die, with a mouse and kb it's doable but not with a controller.
You should see a doctor for that weak stomach.

I hated the idea but after sinking 500 or so hours into D2R on PS5 I couldn't go back to KBM.
This is from someone who has played thousands of hours on KBM since D1, D2, D3.
I sit at a desk all day already, I don't want to sit at a desk during my leisure time too . I actually also find movement more fun with an analog stick, combat just feels more enjoyable
I think inventory management would drive me insane. Or not being able to click the enemy I wanted (maybe they have a way around that?)
Inventory management is painful but how often in these fast paced ARPGs do you want to click a specific enemy that isn't an elite or boss? Mostly you're just throwing down AoE damage in that general area where it doesn't matter who you target.
@Phoenixzeus: Elites are exactly when I want to click. When they spawn with some totally unfair combination of unique abilities that make it virtually impossible to kill them, I want to at least think I can try!
@justtoreply: I never had an issue with the targeting not selecting where I'm pointing but YMMV. To me it feels a bit like playing a twin stick shooter. Also I find the comfort of reclining and holding a controller worth the trade off of any potential targeting efficiency. Perhaps if I had a way of reclining while using the keyboard (and a more ergonomic keyboard, like a split) I'd stick to it but as is, nah, comfort is king.
I use both, currently playing on PC with xbox controller and kbm. I'd say I use controller 95% of the time with kbm only for invent. Having played controller I too can't see myself going back to kbm. I find it way easier to kite enemies and spam combos. Also moving around the map is much more convenient than clicking…. The only thing that would convince me back to kbm is if they implemented WASD.

Best way to play Diablo is with a controller. No RSI. No being hunched over a desk at a monitor. Spread yourself out in glorious comfort on your couch, controller in hand and the hours just fly past!

The reason I don't have an X is because I have a decent PC with gamepass. I'd always intended to get an X, then realised it didn't make sense.

This same thing happens on b.net, except the 44.90 charge is clearly labelled as an upgrade. I feel like MS is going to be refunding anyone who does this.
I could be wrong but I think they only buying upgrade, you definitely need main game(standard edition) to play.
I mean that's how it should work, when u buy standard edition of any game you get the option to upgrade the said game (154.95-109.95=44.90). That's how it was for forza 5. there is no confusion here, these people gonna regret buying ultimate edition if they were not planning to buy ultimate edition at all. you could buy physical disk for like $75, here they will either get refund or pay more to go through the full game. It should not be difficult to get refund from Microsoft anyway, its just gonna be disappointing.

@jimmyleet: they can and have in the past for errors. my guess is it will depend on how many people attempted to abuse this. People that post that it worked for them ironically are only increasing their own chance of losing it.

You need to click the link on your email and it will take straight to your purchase history, and cancel from there!

Just a heads up, I did something similar with D3 back in the day. One day it stopped working and said it requires the base game to play, or something similar.
If this works, may end doing the same thing.

I've purchased the standard edition, I can only see ultimate edition for $154
So I have to pay $110 first and then check to see if it can be upgraded to ultimate at $45?

Does your invoice say it actually includes the standard version? Mine simply says Diablo® IV - Ultimate Edition with no mention of an upgrade and no mention of the origonal price. I wish I took screenshots of the discounted price screen.
Good deal but knowing MS they might just pull the rug on this one and revert the license back to the standard edition in the best case scenario or straight up refund and take away the game at worst.

Yup. Much I would be revel in the thought that Blizzard lost some profits by exploitations, it is most unlikely for MS to just let it sit. Remind me of that one time they accidentally gave out a game for free and later on they just straight up took it away from everyone who claimed.
