My experience with the Airs
In recent years, I have undergone a journey with keyboards, starting with a Corsair K70 and progressing to a modded GK61 and a GMMK PRO. However, each keyboard had a flaw that left a sour taste. After trying out other brands like Ducky and Fnatic, I became burnt out on the hobby and desired a pre-built keyboard that didn't require any additional tuning. I wanted to avoid the hassle of lubrication. Fortunately, the keyboard I found met all my expectations. It provides a snappy and satisfying typing experience with smooth linear switches and stable keycaps. There’s no discernible rattle or ticking, which is a relief. However, I have noticed some connectivity problems with the wireless 2.4GHz dongle, such as key chatter, so I've opted to use the wired connection. My only other complaint is the limited keycap options, specifically the absence of an all-white set to blend in with my build. Nonetheless, functionality trumps aesthetics, and this keyboard is incredibly functional, boasts hot-swappable switches and stabilisers. If you’re considering one, I’d say go for it.

  • is the field 75 gaming keyboard worth it?

    edit : hmmmm they don't have blue… i really prefer blue lol…

    • Imma blue switch fan too. The field 75 does look awesome.

Noticed you can add the G Pro 2.0 blue switches for $29.95. No idea how these compare to the Cherry!

      • +2

gateron switches are way better than cherry

        that's why keychron keyboards popular.

        • I will have to give them a try next time.

      • ye blue switches FTW. I'm using Razer Green atm, which is Razer-equivalent. I think they're more or less the same? so satisfying

    • +1

I tried using the AS20 code in the cart. It says it's not valid for Field75. :(

  • should i go for this one , or the lofree flow which has just been launched on KS? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lofree/lofree-flow-the-…

both are 87 low profile and similar looks. and both are the same price.

    • Indeed, that product from Kickstarter looks great. As for the future of the company, I cannot say. However, note that the product is much cheaper on Kickstarter since the prices on Nuphy are in USD.

      • i think they both 109USD. they have made few products already, and i saw their taobao store already, so i am pretty confident they can deliver this. xD

      • +1

When I look at Kickstarter today the cheapest you can get the Lofree Flow for is $221 AUD (Super Early Bird price plus shipping). I paid $160 delivered for the Nuphy Air75 I just ordered.

The $109 USD deal for the Lofree Flow is not available, and the pricing doesn't include shipping.

  • If you check my previous comment history, you'll see that I recently bought the Air96 (with Wisteria T55 switches). Absolutely love mine and highly recommend it.

Oh man why do they only make small keyboards :-(. Give me an 80% TKL

      100% keyboard better

  • Where is it shipped from?

  • +1

    Awww 20% discount code doesn't work for the Field75 keyboard - maybe because it's a preorder :(

    • Yeah I tried the same disappointing because it actually looks fun

    • damn… i'm seriously considering Field 75. annoyed that discount doesn't apply.

This is the cheaper alternative if you are interested.

    • Are these clones?

      • Nope, Chinese copycat version. Pretty similar but not exatly same.

        • You are right, but they copy themselves.

China now manufacturing the best keyboards in the world.
Best switches in the world: Chinese Gateron, Chinese Kailh
One of the best brand: Keychron of China
There are at least 7 brands in China producing keyboards as good as Keychron, only Keychron runs their businuss in Austraulia.

I partially agree with you because don't buy keyboard from aliexpress is correct.

          • @flypig: Yup, even Keycult effed up when they moved manufacturing from China. Went from some of the best, near perfect quality custom boards to having to cover up manufacturing defects by offering a line of painted boards.

        • the guy in the promo video installed the arrow key keycaps wrong lol

    • They look decent haha

      • If you compare side by side then will feel some different cuz of diff switch, but pretty good for the price point.

    • Keen to see a comparison!

But for now, Aliexpress can keep their junk.

      • It is not too bad. Nuphy is Gateron key and this one is Outemu key. Of course Nuphy one is better for sure but this one is actually good for the price. There are not many options for the low profile portable keyboard.

      • Some keyboard vendors on aliexpress are actually really good. Kbdfans is a pretty big one. I got a d84 from them a while ago and love it.

Tofu is really popular entry model too.

    • Bluetooth the third mock
      examination
      short axis

Wish there was a tkl version of the Air.

Do people find the compact layout of the Air75/96 too cramped to type on?

    • Air75 is just slightly more compact than a full-sized keyboard. I find it very easy to type on.

    • Started with keychron k4v2 which is a 96%.

Takes a bit to get used to the 0 being a standard keysize and with it all cramped together its hard to touch type.

Im not on a 75% keyboard because i dont really need numpad, but if i did need one i would get a separate numpad specifically when i need to crunch alot of numbers.

Keep in mind that shipping from Nuphy (China) to Australia is pretty awful. I think my Air75 took 8 weeks.

    • I ordered my Air96 mid may and it took exactly one week for it to arrive to my doorstep from the moment it was shipped.

      • Damn, how recently did you order?

        • mid may, so literally 2-3 weeks ago

          • @eltito: I ordered around the middle of last year. I'm glad they've improved shipping to Australia.

            • @boldwombat: Ahh makes sense. Yeah prior to ordering, I jumped on nuphy reddit and someone had asked this Q (shipping to aus) 3 months ago. Someone said 2 weeks and another said 1 week. So it seems that it has definitely improved

is this a spam post ?

  • oh, they use Gateron switches, supposed to be as good as Keychron.

    • Only 33 hours battery life. Ouch.

  • I've got an epomaker board which has been great, looking for some alt keycaps. Have gone through some ducky and razer ones, but not felt amazing.

I really like the look of these: https://nuphy.com/collections/keycaps/products/carmine-cloun…

For those who have experience with the brand, what are your takeaways of their keycaps?

    • -1

The print quality is fine and they're just nice PBT keycaps. If you haven't used PBT before then you'll be in for a treat.

      • Yeah the stock pbt caps on the epomaker th80 are really nice actually I really love the feel of them, just find them extremely ugly! So tried switching up the style to razer and ducky double shot pbts and I didn't like them as much. Something bout the flat nature and smoothish feel of the epomakers really felt nice to me. Basically just want the epomakers but not in a white grey and yellow colour scheme!!

Not sure really how to determine if a I'll like them or not haha

no 100% option is a killer for me :(

  • Thankyou OP.

Have been wanting to order the Air96 for a while now and finally bitten the bullet.

Scorptec are the only ones selling Nuphy at the moment but only the Halo96 and Air75.

    • +1

You won't regret it, love my Air96

    • All good ;)

  • Thanks OP, I have been eying off the Air75 for over a year, and now that it has the 2.0 switches and 20% off I've finally pulled the trigger. Still more than I wanted to pay for a keyboard (works out to be $160 delivered after discount), but with AUD being so low against USD it's just what it is.

  • anyone else got experience besides the OP on what the wireless range is like on these (either the Air75 for the Halo 75)? I'm looking for a wireless keyboard to game from the couch in my loungeroom. Its about ~5-6m from the PC to the couch. I have a Keychron K8 on my main PC and tried its wireless and was getting dropouts when using it from the couch so just worried about dropping 160 clams on this to find the same issue.
