    • I believe that's the old RM850e (different SKU).

The new one are ATX 3.0

  • ATX 3.0 a new version? Sorry havent been keeping up to date with the PSU techs.

    • +2

Yes, it adds a new PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR connector and adds the ability to handle power spikes of up to 1,800W, although only for about 100 microseconds.

If you have a 4070 Ti or better, you probably want to consider an ATX 3.0 power supply.

      • Yowza, these newer GPUs are really using up power.

        • Nvidia for now, since the top of the line 7900XTX from AMD still working with normal 850W PSU without problem

  • This vs rm850x?

    • Rm850x

If u Dont need the ATX 3.0 standard,it's a far better PSU

corsair is going to stop supply the european market after 2024 apparantly

      Right now

The FSP hydro is a MUCH MUCH better buy

  • Would the 850W be enough for a 7800x3d and 7900xtx?

    • Yeah 850W is enough

  • These aren't as great as their RMX line

Made by some 3rd party company instead of FSP or channelwell

  • From a review:

    • the new Corsair RM850 promises similar performance and acoustics to the more-expensive RM850x, but at a more affordable price point. However, to cut costs, Corsair has used lower-quality capacitors and a lesser cooling fan. These compromises result in a PSU that's not quite as quiet as its big brother, but could be a good choice if the street price is significantly lower.*
