  • Damn, just bought the TCL c835 earlier

    • +2

You sure this one better than c835? 835 is miniLED

  • I bought a Sony sound bar from the same mob. "Assessed to be in working order" it was not. Took 3 months before I got a working one. Their initial shipping and support process was terrible.

HOWEVER! I did save about 50% so all's well and ends well.

    • Same here. Sound bar too.
Years ago. It went for repair 3 times on total 6 months, they want to repair it again for the 4th i said refund, they said no, i went to accc, they melt and refund in full. Yours still lucky

    • And their official techinican is just some random company, outsourced, small office somewhere in mascot, and some bad staffs manner.

      • Yes! And they even made me drive it there and collect it

        • My 3 repairs, i think 2 they came to pickup but still means i need to take day off (it was pre covid)

  • Scratch n dent or broken stuff 'repaired'?

  • Good luck. I wouldn't trust any refurb or seconds from Sony. Bad experience here and they are the worst customer service to deal with.

    • I have purchased Sony refurb items over the years and true, there was a hiccup or 2, but was eventually resolved, overall happy with them.

    • Thats 3 of us already no wonder this thread is so quiet

A brand new 75X90K was $2100 last 2 days at JB and Goodguys

    • Do you remember the 65" model price 2 days ago?

    • rtings says the J is just as good - https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-x90j-vs-sony-x9…

The Sony X90K is the successor to the Sony X90J, and it's not worth the upgrade if you already have the X90J or if you're deciding between the two TVs. The main difference is that the X90J has a better local dimming feature, resulting in less blooming around bright objects, meaning the overall picture quality is better on the X90J. However, if you're a gamer, the X90K is the better choice and has a wider 1080p VRR range.

      $450 off is pretty good.

I have bought this exact TV "refurbished" though here. It was definitely new.

  • Signing up to afterpay only requires a credit card?

    • Yes, but you may not get a good credit limit initially. Usually starts out at about $500ish (and lower) and goes up over time to a max of $3k.

      • so we cant pay for this if the limit is less ? i mean i can pay the whole in one go i just want the discount
can i use my current limit plus some kind of other credit card and still get the discount ?

        • I "think" you can use a gift card to split the payment. I don't think a credit card though.

        • I would grab discounted ebay gift cards to split pay as much as possible to squeeze more savings. E.g. Swap>eBay gift card from SB app saves you another 3%.

          • @Buy2Much: definitely can, right? i dont have afterpay yet and it would be sad if i buy $$ giftcard then cant use it hahah.
so when making payment, its the afterpay limit, and then the rest is ebay giftcards, no other payment method?

@CyberMurning: What I did previously was leaving around $100 left for Afterpay, the rest was eBay gift card. I saw some comments on OB of other people leaving even less. YMMV. P.s. maximum eBay GC that can be used in one transaction is $1500.

            • +1

@CyberMurning: Ebay's chick page treats gift cards, vouchers, coupons all the same.

The rest goes on the selected payment type.
