Not really (well actually it could be but), you'd want a temperature controlled soldering iron station for electronics. That won't stop you using something like this on electronics, hence the 'actually' comment, but beware the temp can burn a board/trace/component all too easily. Just know what you're doing and adjust accordingly.
This light version also means small gas tank, so shorter runtime. Not a big deal on the whole. For anything else off surface level it'll be fine I expect.

Why? Got plenty hot and found it easy to use. Apparently they work best with the Hot Devil branded gas, I just used some generic stuff and flame wasn't quite as strong as I thought it would be. So I might try that.
