  • is this better than the recent Dell 32" deal?

    • +3

nope, this only has HDMI 2.0, VA, 1 DP and I never heard of this brand.
Rather get Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor 34 if you want ultra wide when it comes to sale.

      • hard disagree. the specs on these are miles ahead of the xiaomi's. you can doubt the accuracy of the specs, but they're at industry standard values, at a glance it doesn't look like they're making numbers up.

the xiaomi is a known quantity, it is absolutely horrid by 2023 standards, even at the budget ~AUD$400 category.

        • i don't doubt a $400 ultrawide VA has insane smearing. never get close to these kinds of products unless you're just straight up not sensitive to dark smearing

          • +1

@theadeptus1: there are budget VA panels with much less smearing since 2022. The kogan, dell, aoc g3s are all such examples within this price range.

at this point, intentionally choosing outdated monitors with terrible specs and smearing is 100% on the consumer.

            • @xrailgun: perhaps compared to even older panels. but i personally find all those to still have unbearable smearing. ymmv of course

    • is this better than the recent Dell 32" deal?

I'd get Dell. At least you know what you're getting from a brand and support perspective

  • does it fold?

    • Technically, yes.

      • +3

does it fold more than once? that's the real question muahaha

        • Technically, yes.

The question you want is: will it work after folding

          • @Astronaut Joe: I think at this price to folding ratio I'll just keep it as a curved folding table

all things considered it's more likely to last this way rather than as a gaming monitor

  • On paper the specifications look good for what you are paying. There is just no online reputation that I can see. Anyone able to shed any light on it?
This could be another company like PRISM trying to cut into the market. Site says they have been around since 2008, starting in Dubai, UAE.

  • +3

Never heard of the brand and no info online. Even a Kogan will be a better buy compared to this.

On reputation alone, sure. Specs-wise the QMAX is slightly better. Overall brightness and colour accuracy is superior on paper.

on paper is the keyword here.

        • +1

Like with any other monitor that comes onto the market. Key thing here is establishing if the manufacturer is trustworthy or not.

@Tenshu: We have been producing monitors since 2008 and I am pretty confident about our product quality. Since I am associated, I suppose it is unethical for me to comment on other brands i.e. Kogan or Prism, however, I do know the factories where they order. • @Anastassiya: Thanks for that. I would advise adding that to the description

            • @Anastassiya:

We have been producing monitors since 2008

Which countries were selling these monitors in? I can't seem to find any info on Qmax brand name or any of your monitors.

Were you selling these monitors under some other brand name before?

            • @Anastassiya: but the real question is is it the same panel?

            • @Anastassiya: Can you do a deal on the 32"? if it's a fair bit cheaper than the current Samsung g55tb offer then I would consider giving your brand a go.

              • @zorrt: Let me check. Which price to you expect to get?

    • FYI that is a 1800R monitor that kogan refuses to correctly advertise.

Totally unfair to make this comment

        • ?

          • -1

@xrailgun: Apologies, it is my wrong wording in the description. I have corrected the same.

        • +1

They mean the Kogan that Bargainian referenced.

        • -1

          so sensitive OP

    Not an IPS

    • And?

  • Actually, you can find quite many reviews on Russian-speaking resources.

  • @Anastassiya I'm currently looking for 38-40" 5120x2160 with 100HZ+ refresh.
Do you have any plans for this specs monitor?

    • +1

Not at the moment. However, I will see a market demand for monitors bigger than 34" I will consider to produce such models as well.

  • Does this monitor have BFI/strobing?

    • No, it doesn't have a function of backlight strobing.

    • It has MPRT function - Moving Picture Response Time is a technology that reduces motion blur on a monitor. It does this by turning off the backlight for a very brief period of time in between frames. This results in a sharper image with less blur, especially when viewing moving objects.

  • I was trying to buy yesterday and the shipping to NSW 2112 was reasonable at 12 bucks. Now it shows as 200 bucks! What gives?

    • +1

Yes, something got wrong with the shipping plugin, our web designer is working on that. Shipping rates at the moment are total nonsense! I will extend the discount code.

      • Still showing $60 to ship to Sydney

        • I hope the shipping plugin will be fixed by Tuesday. True, still gives ridiculous rates.

          • @Anastassiya: Just letting you know that the coupon has also expired. Please let us know when the website is fixed and the coupon is available. I am waiting to place an order. Thanks.

            • @bargatonian: Seems to be fixed, please give it a try. The coupon code is 55FZBV8F.

  • +1

I'm also interested in this one, please let me know when the website is fixed.

    • Seems to be fixed, please give it a try. The coupon code is 55FZBV8F.

  • Does this monitor have Inbuilt Speakers?
Description say it does, but I can't find in the specification at the website.

  • Yes, It has speakers

    • Thank you for the confirmation

  • coupon is not working and postage to Qld $56 ??

    • The coupon should be working, please check once again. Postage - are you in a remote area or Metro? I can check manually by postcode, but shipping charges might be high if it is Interstate (we are in Victoria) and if it is a remote area.

  • Did anyone get this and how has it been? Thanks

    • +1

I linked this to a friend of mine and he bought it. He reported it was great for his standards.
Trick is getting someone techy on it to see how it shapes up to competition. That said if you are an everyday user it appears solid.

      • Thanks.
