When I saw the .com website link I thought this might be a product from the States, which may feature some spelling inconsistencies compared to the Australian dictionary. Turns out these guys are NSW-based: http://www.edalive.com/learn-more-about-us/our-company-infor….

Rep, might I suggest you add some detail either in the title or description that echoes this, as I'm sure many other parents have this issue on their radar when looking at learning aids for their children.

    Cheers Rep, nice deal!

    • Great suggestion! I've updated the title too:)

      Thanks for the feedback!

Question to Rep - I submitted my name/email to access the demo, but nothing seems to have happened (webpage stayed the same, no email received, etc). Please advise?

    • Hi rj…

Sorry, that email pop up is a bit of a pain - we're waiting to get a new one!

After entering an email address, just ignore it and scroll down to the Words Rock icon and click the blue download link (it's about half way down the page in the green section). There is no automatic email sent - it's just for statistical purposes.

If you wanted to try out the full version for just $9.95 go right ahead - there is a full 30 day money back guarantee. So if you don't like it, just return the CD/delete the download and let us know…

  • for mac users, many of these are also available cheaply on the app store:

    http://itunes.apple.com/au/artist/edalive/id425307441?mt=12

not really sure how good they are

    • Great idea derdew…

Mac users feel free to try the App Store - price varies depending on store (Aus,US etc) and what promos our App store team have running.

FYI - The direct download from EdAlive.com above includes both Windows and Mac versions in one Zip file.

P.S. If anyone feels like posting the mac store offers - go right ahead:) ('cos there's too many for me to do!)

    Yo, spelling Rep!

"Kids build word power, spelling skills and grammar know-know as they outsmart competitors…"

Lol you might want to change that to "know-how".. unless you're deliberately stuttering or something. ;P

P.S. Yes, I did scour your post looking for at least one spelling error. WIN!

And we have a winner!!! :)

*blushes - thanks for picking that up! Goodness knows how long it has been in EdAlive's marketing material for!

Haha you're cute, spelling Rep.. and you're welcome. :)

Since you seem like a cool guy, I took the liberty of proofreading your site.. and found some more errors that you may want to rectify.. to keep up appearances and all that jazz.

The main one is the paragraph under the heading of Computer Classroom, which has two typos.

"Ages 4-11 Comprehensive Cross-curricula learning! This series kelps kids to master mathematics! Succeed at science! Excel at English! Raise your reading! Sharpen your spelling! Have fun using the animated lessons and demonstrations whild conquering the cool range of activities and engaging single/multiplayer games!"

Should be "..helps kids to master…" rather than "kelps". Also, "..demonstrations while conquering…" rather than "whild".

          Hehehehe:)

I'll fix those up after tea!

Wow… we should really employ some OzBargainers to give the site a thorough going over!

          Thanks again,

          Jason
