Amazon price-matching Woolworths half price this week ($2.50 for 80 Pack).

  • +1

Cheaper to wait for a damaged carton. I paid twice for this $12.50 delivered from the Amazon Warehouse within 1 week.

    • Was it an opened box? Or just a damaged box with sealed packing of wipes inside?

    • Ah good thinking!

    • Don't know if they will come along that often. Those damaged boxes were old stock. Packed in Dec 2021.

      • Nothing wrong with the wipes.

        • +8

Didn't say there was. I just don't think you can rely on getting damaged stock.

  • +4

Inflation has hit the wipes too. I'd stocked up last time these were for $2/pack of 80. Looks like $2.50 is going to be the new low price for these. Still a good price. Bought a few. Thanks op.

    • How long ago was the $2/80pk?

      • +1

Definitely late 2021 if not early 2022. Bought at that price during COVID lockdowns etc too.

  • +1

Cheers OP great catch, saves me from having to go down to woolies too

  • +1

I use this all the time after bathroom visit

  • Am I the only one who prefer Woolies Little Ones over these?

    • The yellow packaged Johnson & Johnson ones on Amazon are the best we've tried. Been using them for years.

    • +1

Little Ones has phenoxyethanol, Huggies don’t.

      • Sorry if thick but why is this an important distinction?

      • +1

Little Ones Fragrance Free uses phenoxy ethanol as a preservative. It naturally occurs in green tea leaves.

Huggies Thick Fragrance Free uses sodium benzoate as a preservative
It naturally occurs in many fruits and veg.

Without any preservative a pack of wet wipes would quickly turn into a massive colony of yeast or bacteria.

        • what is the difference between them?

  • +1

If your subscription is due to be delivered later (e.g. few weeks away), do you pay the price when you hit subscribe or when it gets sent out?

    • +1

When its locked in and about to be sent out

      • +1

Oh right, so doing S&S today but it says will be sent next month is subject to price change ?

        • +3

Yes the price will more than likely be higher. The best way to do it is buy as many as you need now and then cancel the subscribe and save after you have received the item. I usually set all S&S to 6 months and then cancel them altogether every couple of months.

        • yep wondered why the S&S from last time 17 when upto 24 yesterday

Anyone know the difference between these ones and the Dymples ones from Big W? They're $8.50 for 480. Cheers!

    • +3

I was about to ask, is there anything that makes these better than Kmart baby wipes which are $8 for 480!

      • +1

Ooo thanks didn't even know Kmart had wipes. One review I saw below:

Poop, vomit, cleaning out the fridge
Review by Lisa T. on 8 Feb 2022review stating Poop, vomit, cleaning out the fridgeThese wipes can handle it. Unlike Huggies which fall apart…these wipes are sturdy, soft and hypoallergenic. They are brilliant at mopping up spills and cleaning down high chairs, benches and other surfaces as well. 10/10

Reporting back after comparing Kmart and Huggies baby wipes.
They are very similar length and width. Huggies are thicker and more "plush" as another commenter mentioned, but I have accidentally poked a hole through a couple with my fingernails as the texture is of pull apart fibres, so I can understand the reviewer mentioning that they "fall apart" when wiping things like high chairs.
Kmart wipes are thinner (you can even see that the 80 wipe packet is not nearly as tall as the Huggies 80 wipe packet) but a different texture which does not come apart and I can't see myself ever putting a hole through one. I guess they're a more versatile, sturdy and cheap wet wipe if you want to also wipe down objects and not just babies.
The biggest difference for me is actually in the dispensing out of the packet: the Huggies ones separate very neatly and dispense one by one, whereas the Kmart wipes can be a trail of clown scarves at times.
I think I will use a mix of both, but I would only ever buy Huggies wipes when they're a half price special, because even then, they're almost twice the price ($3.125 per 100 wipes) compared to Kmart ($1.67 per 100 wipes).

    • +1

I've tried them all, I have no idea what the kmart reviewer was on about as the anko and Dymples were pretty sh*t. It was thin and feels like 'seepage' would occur and thin enough to bunch and roll when you are doing a swipe so you get a palm of sh't. Huggies is thick and I've never had one fall apart/tear during a nappy change.

      • +1

Ah interesting, been using Dymples for years, never had one fall apart but unsure about the anko ones. To confirm, you tried it and it felt like seepage would occur but never actually did? Cheers

        • -1

Dymples and anko were pretty similar imo. They are pretty see through as it is, I mean I can't confirm if it's poop juice on my fingers but it's enough to cause me to go errrk. I'm a pretty cheaparse when it comes to things in general but I choose to pay more for huggies. Huggies feel more thick and plush in general, try a half price pack from Woolies and see if you like it :) I think the wipe itself is bigger as well.

  • Seems I can’t add to cart…

  • Sold out at this price

  • +1

Couldn’t add to cart from the product page, but if you search “Huggies wipes” you can add to cart from the search results, and then also apply S&S before checking out.

  • -1

Not a fan of these wipes based on some of the ingredients.

      • huh?

        Edit: lol

So easy to tell the triggered accounts. Hope you feel better soon.

  • Showing $18 for SS?

  • $18 showing for me aswell (no prime). Maybe $17 is with prime?

    • +2

Prime members get 15% off S&S. Non prime members only get 10%

      • Confirmed … I hate how when I click on an Amazon deal from ozbargain, instead of opening up the up it just opens a new page in safari

  • The real bargain is home made wipes (seriously, look it up - it's super easy)

    • With the cost of paper towels now, is it really worth the effort and savings??

  • Is it much better than 2.5 c in little ones brand in woolies?
