If you buy 2 it brings the individual price down to $113.27 each.

    • So who wants to go Half’s I am in Adelaide 👍🏽

  • I got a 2TB 980Pro with Heatsink for $223.95 in a previous US sale. But I'm still waiting for it to actually arrive, over 1 months since ordering at this point.

    • Mine came after 1 week

      • :'-(

    • I had a similar issue with an item. Once the expected delivery date passes you can claim a refund.

when you can grab a 970evo 2tb for MUCH less.. this isn't that great of the buy

Average user,is not going to notice the 3000-7000mb change,it's not gonna boot the os any faster,or ur games

The 980 Pro is showing its age. That dramless Lexar NM790 has better performance for every use case, except video editing. Try 'NM790 review vs 980 pro' in search engine

    • Show the 2TB vs 2TB link. Only 1 reviewer I know bother doing tests which all DRAMless SSDs struggle.

Price of 980 2TB is still too high. Phison E18 2TB now down to $169. Or, in China, $147 is the new record low apparently so even imported NM790 sold here looks like have a bit of margin (understandable due to retailer needs to manage the warranty support).

NM790 1TB is great. At 2TB, due to the cost cutting of the controller, the YMTC NAND chips are held back a fair bit as a result.

      • wait the 980 is dramless?

separtely, i think we need a ozbargain SSD megathread lol

track models that go on sale often so no need to track every single model. cause some models and prices arent easily accesible with substantial stock anyway

        and rank them

I think that this is the one that needs the firmware flashed …

    • +2

Newer 2023 batch likely so are you sure it still has the old affected firmware?

      • +1

even if it werent im assuming you can….just flash the firmware right

  • HODLing for $199

  • Is the 2tb 980 Pro worth getting at this price over the $169 2tb Silicon Power XPOWER XS70 currently also on sale?

  • Good for ps5?
