Hi Ozbargainers,

We've had a couple of amazing deals over the past couple of weeks resulting in THOUSANDS of boxes of medication flying out the door. I've been besieged with messages of support and thanks, but also quite a few requests for the large family bundles which we promoted through out covid. Given the large number of sales we've made, several product reps have been very happy to work out some special pricing for Ozbargainers. I have combined quite a few of the deals I've been offered and have been able to assemble what I consider to be the best ever bundle deal.

For those waiting to slam the standard cold and flu PE (which still sells by the thousand) this product is offered tonight as a bonus item and can be swapped out for 1 of 2 other items if you strongly believe against supporting products with phenylephrine or other active ingredients due to questionable efficacy.

Tonight's deal:

100x Paracetamol 500mg (Exp: End April 2024)
96x Ibuprofen 200mg Film Coated Tablets (Exp: End October 2024)
70x Cetirizine (Cetrine) 10mg (Exp: End Feb 2024)
70x Fexofenadine 180mg (Hayfexo) (Exp: End October 2025)
70x Loratadine 10mg (Lorazol) (Exp: End September 2023)
14x 24 Hour Heartburn Relief (Exp: End October 2023)
20x Diarrhoea Relief (Ex: End May 2024)
48x Cold & Flu + COUGH (DAY AND NIGHT) (Exp: End October 2025)

SELECT YOUR BONUS ITEM (SELECT ANY ONE ITEM)

24x Cold & Flu (DAY AND NIGHT) (Exp: End February 2025) OR
12x Diarrhoea PLUS Gas Relief (Exp: End February 2024) OR
10x Cetrelief 10mg (Exp: End October 2023)

My quick scan around the internet tells me this bundle retails in brick and mortar Pharmacies at around >$120, online around $80-90 - but after a quick double take on the calculator, I think I can move it out the door just under $50 using CODE: 20off

I've got 50 sets ready to go tonight @ $49.99 (USE CODE: 20off) @ https://pharmacysavings.com.au/products/pharmacy-megabundle-…

    Thanks!

  • Does the cold and flu contain pseudoephedrine?

    • No - available only in store (after ID check on govt database etc)

    • +3

Prob not. They all seem to have that junk in them now that does nothing.

      • +1

Yep pretty much a placebo without it

        • +1

This is why this particular item is an optional bonus item which can be substituted out for something else of value if clients feel this item has no merit.

@jason101: I’ve noticed in recent deals you have tried to avoid or at least minimised selling phenylepherine.

            Thank you

            • @ozbking: Yep - ibuprofen is getting me in enough trouble ;-)

              • @jason101: You should speak a language those people understand. Instead of $1.59 with free shipping,

Make it 59 cents, with $1 postage (pick up not possible)

Reasonable given stamps are more than $1 nowadays…

                But haters will be haters…

I love the deals you put together.

Item: 192x Ibuprofen 200mg, Pharmacy Action (exp: End September 2024 or later)
    Price: $13.99 (after code)

    So $13.99/ 192 = 7.29c/tablet

    Coles 24 pack $1.55
    So $1.55/24 = 6.46c/tablet or $12.40 for 192.

Cheaper and you only have to buy 24. Hardly Ozbargain worthy. Woolies & Aldi are similarly priced.

This debate has already been waged last Sunday (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/779392) when you find someone happy to pack and deliver your iburprofen for $1.59 post the deal and I will happily vote it up.

But it's NOT A BARGAIN 90+% of.the population can buy it Cheaper at their local supermarket. A place they visit at least once a week. No packing involved.

You're selling bulk, but more expensive then 90% can buy locally at only 1/8 of the packet size.

Again Not A Bargain stick to your actual bargains.

when you find someone happy to pack and deliver your iburprofen for $1.59

You wont pack & deliver it for that price. So pointless argument.

          Who hurt you bro ?

  • Not really sure that these huge bulk amounts of medicine is healthy to give to individual consumers. Why would someone need so much medicine?

I'm guessing you don't have 4 kids and perhaps and older relative at home (or under your assisted care), we receive many emails from larger families looking for bulk medication deals. Might not be for everyone, but there are some families that really appreciate the larger deals. Even if 1-2-3 items are not required, donate them or gift them away to those who can use them. I take all the short dated meds in to one of my offices where there are many graduates and new Australians - they last about 35 seconds in the kitchen and I know they always go to families who need and appreciate them.

Without wanting to start WW3 which we'll leave to Putin, the deal you have taken objection to ranked #1 (by vote Ozb vote rank) of all deals I have posted in the last 12 months or so - I understand you don't feel it is good value, but literally 500x other Ozbargainers seem to think its OK (by voting with their wallets). As a rep I invest thousands of dollars to put deals on, while I understand this is not the problem of Ozbargainers in general or Ozbargain admin, my wallet is on the line with every deal posted so I really invest time to research what I think the market wants and I only post the deal if I believe I can offer the best price in Australia for that item delivered. If I cannot provide the best deal on a product in Australia I deserve down votes and criticism, but when there is no cheaper alternative for the same item delivered - I'll always try to defend the deal.

              @M00Cow: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/779392

Since I'd rather have friends than enemies - why don't we settle this by me giving you a 10% discount voucher for anything on the site. Shopify doesn't currently allow code stacking on my account, so the code will only work on items with no code required (search my older deals there are quite a few with no code required), drop me a PM and we can move on and still be friends.

        • +6

Why do you feel the need to attack people?

Says the one repeatedly attacking the OP in multiple deals.

  • Thanks this is tremendous. Hayfever really ruins me thru spring

  • Thanks, ordered!
