This deal may not be for everyone due to the warranty concerns, but it is less than half the price of the Bunnings AEG similar product, $289: (note model number is different: BOF18B2-0)
https://www.bunnings.com.au/aeg-18v-1-4-brushless-trim-route…

Was $158.15 when I added to list a couple of days ago. What really sold me in the end was it's only ~$20 more than Ozito.

Since ordering it yesterday I've noticed delivery date has changed to early July =/ … but maybe interested folks here won't mind.

(And yes RIGDIG and AEG are basically the same brand, just the local marketed name, so batteries are compatible)

Description copy/paste:
* Up to 15% more power than previous models (R86044B, RIDGID 18-Volt Cordless Brushless 1/4 in. Compact Router with Fixed Base and Tool Free Depth Adjustment)
* Includes: (1) R860443 18-Volt OCTANE Brushless Compact Router, (1) square base, (1) round base, (1) detachable dust port, (1) edge guide, (1) 1/4 in. bit, (1) collet wrench, and operator's manual
* Vacuum Dust Chute: Eliminates sawdust on work piece when properly attached to 1-1/4 in. or 1-7/8 in. sizes
* Quick Release Lever and Micro-Adjust Dial: 2-ways for easy depth adjustments
* Extended runtime compared to previous models (R86044B, RIDGID 18-Volt Cordless Brushless 1/4 in. Compact Router with Fixed Base and Tool Free Depth Adjustment)

Update: delivery date now late June, price ~$149.

Good price. To bad I am on Dewalt eco system so I don't have any battery to suit :(

If it was the Dewalt I would jump on this

    • +5

DeWalt for this price???? Wake up you are in Australia…

      • I know right LOL

    • Time for an adaptor maybe?

    • +1

They make battery converters to use with almost whatever tool, battery you are using👍🏼

    • Just bought the dewalt 2 weeks ago …. =(
But still couldn’t resist…now I’ll just have to wait for some AEG batteries to go on sale

  • +2

If you have AEG tools/batteries this is a deal.

The AEG labelled identical outer is $289.00 at Bunnings.

    Pondering getting an adapter.

  • I've got the AEG-branded version and it's a really useful little tool

    • Mind if I PM you a question?

  • +4

Bought a bunch of Ridgid stuff years ago from the US at less than half the price of Bunnings, can confirm completely interchangeable with AEG kit and batteries - and generally a greater selection of skins available / they go to market first before available here

    • Amazon noob question: have you had any issues with any of the purchases and need some kind of support?

My thinking is (touchwood) that is it's not DOA or anything in the first few uses, it'll be the well built goods that'll last yonks like a couple of other AEG things I have.

      • +2

Only issue I had was one of the batteries that came in a kit was DOA / physically deformed, but apart from that no problems. I had similar thoughts when purchasing, I figure even if it's breaks after a while I can buy another one and still be slightly ahead than getting one AEG unit locally.

Also worth noting Ridgid tools come with lifetime warranty as opposed to the 3/6 years provided by AEG here, so I would expect build quality to be on par if not better.

  • Which good adapter to buy if I want to use my Dewalt battery to fit that you guys can recommend?

  • +1

I have this, the AEG labelled one not Rigid label. I got it secondhand off eBay and it has served me well for DIY stuff. Good deal.

    Does this have WiFi 6?
Looking to upgrade my router and haven't heard of this model. Any good?

    • Not too bad it has lifetime warranty probably the last ever router you need for web browsing.

    • Checked past comments to see if this is a troll account but also found this:

Not sure if this is a joke or my man here is perpetually lost.

edit: in case this is serious, just wanted to let you know this is not a WiFi router.

      • Hahaha 😅

I have alert for 'router' and an perpetually lost amongst the results.

Love how fast people are to stick to the rails in life

Already got a Ryobi but I never thot a router would be so useful. This and multi tool prolly most used tools behind the drill

  • So are we certain that it takes the 18V AEG batteries?

    • +1

Plenty of online confirmation that AEG = Rigid.

Look at the Amazon Rigid router alongside the bunnings AEG router and you will be left in no doubt.

    • Can confirm. I ordered a Rigid heat gun, gas plus battery, from the US. Worked flawlessly with my AEG batteries. AEG Aus was positive about warranty work too. Never needed the warranty though.

Thanks, ordered. I have been after a router for a while, the price too good to resist!

  • Just place an order. Cannot resist at this price LOL. For any one wondering which adapter to buy for Dewalt batteries. I bought this one hope it fit LOL.

There aren't any warranty concerns, if you buy it on Amazon AU then ACL applies regardless of where Amazon got it from.

  • Thanks Op. Ordered one.

Before I buy, what does it do. Couldn’t figure out from the pics.

  • Thanks! Ordered one. This is a bargain. Been looking for one of these for a while now. Back in stock but now selling for $150. Still cheap if anyones still interested!

  • Showing as in stock again at $149, delivery dates back to within June. Best sellers list lol

  • any adapter to use with Ozito or Ryobi batteries?

  • +1

Got mine today. For anyone wondering it says BRUSHLESS rather than OCTANE, but the model number is correct on the box, R860443B.
The actual router also says brushless but the label (slide the base down) shows model R860443, (no B).
Is that right to any other owners?

  • Hoping mine arrives this week, was originally slated for mid June delivery to regional NSW. Received by Australia Post and took a detour to Darwin, NT last week lapsing the delivery date for Amazon, so they have refunded the purchase. It's apparently back in Sydney over the weekend so hoping to have it delivered this week.

Will be quite happy if it shows up as had so many lost Aus post items lately.

    • Because the delivery is late. They refund you and you get to keep the item when it arrive?

      • Correct. It has to be significantly late, but Amazon offer a refund if the item is very late.

        Your package may be lost
        B08FRKLFH7
We're very sorry that your delivery is so late. Although it may still arrive, you can request a refund now.

I requested a refund late last week via chat, they apologised and did a full refund + $10 promotional credit on top for the poor experience. Tracking today from Australia Post (DPD were the original sender) suggests it might arrive tomorrow.

All in all a good experience, $10 promo credit and free trim router.

  • Any one know if we can Register this from Australia for the life time Warranty?

There is no option for Australia on the list. Only USA, Canada and Mexico
