Last time they ran this promotion we booked/ate/drank at one of the venues listed as per the instructions they provided.
When it came time to pay the payment did not work, the attendant and the venue manager (who were very polite) had no idea about the promotion and were unable to help.
We contacted the promotor but they did not reply.
Id suggest asking bartender to try the payment before the pint is pulled.
That's what I did.
They already sent me my card.

I registered last year but the SMS never arrived (it did for my wife, but in the end we didn't use the card).
If you actually received the payment card then the expiry date has not expired yet.

I received the payment card last year and finally entered a supported venue on Friday. Payment was accepted.
I went through the page today again (after registering last week some time) and received an SMS to redeem a payment card today, however the activation code was not accepted by the app. I updated the app and now the app doesnt work at all - just restarts immediately. I have written to app support.
last year. i got a few of these cards asked for physical card from the app. they then suspended these cards $15 no reason. later tried to contact them then customer service claim due to this is a promotion and not allow physically card sent.
while like most other here for digital card, tried a few on the pubs and they not working. not even bother waste time again
It's a hoax. Pubs know nothing about it.
The pubs don't need to know about it. By providing an EFTPOS card, the promotion is paid for by the promoter.
The issue is the promoter's restrictions on how the EFTPOS card can be used appear to be poorly implemented.
Issue is it not working at the pubs
For example it says its accepted at bankstown sports club but their are over 20 venues there.
It worked at my pub.

Can they be used on anything in a supported venue, does anyone know? Been sober for a year and a half or so, but wouldn't mind taking 15 bucks off a few local pub lunches with the missus.
Neither my husband nor I had any issues using ours last year. Sadly the pub we went to couldn't accept split payment (possibly due to the staff member not knowing how to do it, and us not wanting to bother, more than them not actually accepting them), so we have some $ left in both cards, but it definitely worked. Will get it again this year!
Got one for me and the missis. Seems like they can only be used at the pub. Last year managed to find a participating pub and used it towards a meal. Unfortunately most meals are over $15 so will have to shell out some of my hard earned

The current cards seem to expire 07/2024 so I presume 07/2023 for last years cards.

I returned and tried to use a partial payment on two cards. They told me that their POS system does not support this and can only pay cash and then use one card.

Got one from last year and this year, first attempt failed because I didn't know how it worked. After adding card to my google pay wallet from the vault app this year's one worked perfectly. Now I just need to claim last year's before it expires 😅
Am having trouble with the cards this year and am thinking it may be locked or a scam.
I have the card details on vault app, but to pay with them I have to add to apple wallet. Vault and apple wallet show the cards with their balances ($15 each card) but when I go to a participating venue (find a pint near me on the brewery of meteorology page) and then try to order anything under $15 (a beer, a bowl of chips, etc) it keeps saying payment declined at the eftpos machine and then on the vault app.
Anyone know a fix to this? Have tried three participating venues and all decline the cards. The vendors have never heard of the promotion. Haven’t tried it with a pint of Guinness so am unsure if they have locked the cards to be only used for this purpose. Has anyone used it successfully on food at a participating venue?
Had no trouble using on a pub meal last year.

I've used them at 2 participating venues within the last month worked fine as long as the amount charged was $15 exactly. Maybe thats the reason, they won't process anything less than $15 exactly or the place you're trying is no longer participating or has changed some of their registered information so the EFTPOS machine isn't recognized by the vault system.
I've used two with totals less than $15
Plan to use mine on a pub special meal which might be just under $15, add a beer to take the total over $15. Split the transaction card ($15) and cash for the remainder. Hopefully that should work..

had troubles when trying to find a pub that actually accept it.
Went to one that was on the participating list, but payment failed. The machine didn't like it.
Reading from comments from previous post, I was not the only one.
Will skip this year… waste too much time.
