  If you're not using this as a boot drive and just throwing videos/media/games into it as a side storage drive occasionally, is this drive acceptable compared to the MX? Also 2GB size

    Yes. Unless you are reading and writing a lot of small files it doesn’t make much difference as a game/media drive.
