      receiver companies blame licensing fees for being nonsensically expensive… do soundbars get cheaper licenses?

        There are 2 different Dolby Atmos licenses, one is for AV receivers and the other is for soundbars. The only exception to this that I know of is for the Nakamichi Dragon soundbar that was applied to Dolby for their AV version and they got it. So, I am thinking that, yes, there is a price difference between the two.

      Agree, the only thing I've seen at "50% off" is a discount off the RRP price for a Klipsch subwoofer… and the regular price for it is never anywhere near RRP price. Is it unconscionable to advertise "UP TO 50% OFF" inflated pricing?
