I saw this mini PC being reviewed here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiTPwALeDDw

The following features seemed appealing to me:
Windows 11 Pro
NVMe slot
SATA 2.5 drive can be added
Reasonably quiet (the review seemed to suggest this)
Dual LAN
Zen 3 cores
Lower power consumption with the laptop 5560U APU.
In the review, the LAN interfaces were both intel 2.5G (i225v)

I am on the fence personally as there are a few drawbacks:
1. Power supply is US pin only, and so would need either an adapter or alternative 19V 3.42A supply.
2. WiFi is only 802.11AC and Bluetooth only 4.2, but at least it is upgradeable to WiFi6E with an AX210 card.
3. 5560U seems like an unusual hybrid as it has Zen3 cores but uses the older generation graphics.
4. The listing does not state the LAN ports are 2.5G

To get the discounted price, select the $40 $50USD coupon, as well as using the coupon code 34VAGN66 for an additional $20.97 discount

I think this deal expires on 18 June, but is current as of this posing.

Update: Coupon back on, but now for $50USD

About two-thirds the price of a ASUS PN51. Pretty cheap. 6 Zen 3 cores for $410. The included Solid State drive is probably Aliexpress e-waste though.

  • the PSU is 12v 3A so you could replace it with this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004779547398.html?spm=a2… that you can have use a AU plug.

Thanks but the PSU that is in the box is 19V not 12V, so that one may not work.

This YT video shows the power supply as 19V 3.42A

  • anyone know if this is good enough to run TF2? wanna something something for my son to play with his friends without going the full hog of building a mid tower

TF2 will run on pretty much anything nowadays. The game is from 2007 and the game engine is even older, from 2004.

The GPU on this APU is not that powerful though, it's a little bit behind the Steam Deck. The AYANEO Air Pro uses this 5650U. The performance is affected by the memory speed and bandwidth, so mileage will vary depending the RAM configuration.

I am not a gamer, but the graphics are not the best feature of this mini PC.
The Beelink SER5 Pro with the 5800H is currently at Amazon AU for $524 and has better graphics than this one.

For USD $290.65 (but without the dual LAN) there is a no-name mini PC with the 5600U on Amazon US which would have better graphics than this deal (but not as good as the 5800H).
You need to check the $180 USD coupon to get this price.

It should run fine, the game'll run on absolute potatoes with FPS configs if needed.

  • I'm looking for a mini-PC running Linux with modest tasks (email/browsing/Python/shell-scripting). Could someone give some recommendation?
    Thanks

This would make a cool little virtualization box, dual LAN for pfsense.

  • The $40 coupon has expired.

  • for anyone needs something not as powerful, this one is back, $269 though

  • I don't know how to un-expire the deal but it looks like its back on, but now with a $50 USD coupon that needs to be checked, to make it even cheaper.

For me, just now it goes through at USD $266.14 (~A$393)
