Amazing how some airlines now don't include luggage it's just another way of screwing money out of us, do they really think that people want to go on holidays without luggage, clothes etc wth.

You still get carry-on. I've done multiple overseas trips with just 7kg of luggage, including a laptop. My flatmates in London did 3 months camping around South America with carry-on only.

My most recent trip was 4 days away with wife and 1 year old, we flew carry-on only too.

It's obviously easier to take more, especially if it's cold and you need jackets etc, but if it's a warmish destination it's not too challenging. Can't remember the last time I checked a bag for a domestic trip.

To a tropical destination like Vanuatu, anybody should be easily able to get buy with just carry on for a week or so.

      • Unless to have kids.. i like to check them in

I don't think they let you check in kids, but I'm sure the rest of the plane would appreciate it.

  • Perfectly OK to charge someone who is 100kg heavier than you the same fare, but charge you extra to have your bags checked. Seems legit.

    • Think of it as getting a discount if you don't check bags ;)

The 100kg person can get themselves on and off the plane. Can your checked baggage do that?

  • Vanuatu travel tip: drink kava. If anyone asks if you like it tell them it's tuff tumas.
