The 5800h beelink on sale is cheaper and has much better igpu - uhd graphics 750 vs vega 8. Same cores, but slightly less cache for the ryzen. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/781365

  • Will the onboard graphics decode HEVC and output 4k HDR10?

if you want to run windows yes, if you want run osx no ……

  • compare to ATX is it same performance?

no thunderbolt is a bit disappointing

    • The unicorn of the PC world, I was hoping with usb4 it would finally converge, no such luck

  • How does it compare to a Nuc of similar spec? (Eg price, value? Is Nuc still often considered a kinda rip off?)

    • +1

Similar spec nuc is way more expensive, but nuc has thunderbolt if it matters

Sorry for noob question, does the 32GB of RAM occupy all the slots? Like, if i want to upgrade to 64GB in future i could just add 1 piece of 32GB ram, and not wasted the existing 32GB?

    • +1

Both slots would be occupied with 2 x 16gb cards. You would need to replace with 2 new 32gb cards

  • Delivery and customer service from Amazon will be much greater and easier to deal with. But I ordered my HX99G direct because Amazon doesn't sell bare bones and was actually cheaper due to Minisforum covering the import taxes.
