If i have to pick, this has to be the best of the pick:

    • +3

Wow, that's a brilliant price! Compare it to JB HiFi who are selling it for $299! $110 price difference makes it very tempting to add yet another pair of headphones to my mounting pile of headphones…

      • I am tempted too although just got the pioneer from cotd. I am pretty sure this will be in another league.

Still questioning about the portability and also whether in-ear implementation will be better…

        • If they fold anything like my old PX200s do, they should fold into a more compact shape than the Pioneers.

      • Since there's the $110 price difference I suppose the 40% discount has already been included then.

        • probably , 300 x .6 = 180

    • +2

Actually, you can get that one from Amazon UK for $164 delivered by courier.

      • I think the local warranty worth the extra $16 :)

    • +2

Why do they look so frail?!

I think I'd snap it before even opening the packaging.

    • Think I would prefer these Jabra C820s, of which I currently have 2 pairs

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Jabra-C820s-Headphones-RARE-92-ca…

The PX250 separate processor looks to be a real pain in the arse.

    • +1

      na, this is better http://dicksmith.com.au/product/A3427/beats-by-dre-studio-bl…
just kidding, I despise those with beats by dre even though I'm a fan of his music

      • +5

yEAH, i WOULD JUST FEEL LIKE i WAS A BIGGER COCK THAN I AM WEARING BEATS.
        CAPS LOCK, AHH STUFF IT.

  • Do online prices already include the 40% off or is it 40% off that price?

    • Include the 40% already

    • +14

It's on the front page, click number 2 in the corner of that big dynamic ad. It doesn't say whether the prices already include the 40% off or not, though.

    • OP got close to negging. You went all the way there.

        • +9

          chewkl is not a rep…

        • +5

WTF your link is worse, at least OP's link actually shows the sale. Yours just lists the headphones, with no mention to the discount at all.

          NEGGED for wasting everyones time.

    • +6

It seems you have derped, Tris.

  • It's in the scrolling ad says 40% off. Dunno if prices are already marked down or not though.

    • +2

All prices on the website reflect the 40% discounts

      • cheers for that HUGE gaming sale where i got to buy everything advertised

        • +2

want me to call the wambulance?

        • Cheers for assuming i'm responsible.

  • does not look like the prices have changed???

  • I'd upvote if the prices get updated..

  • +3

just called up. the pxc250 are 180 AFTER the discount =)

    • That means all the online prices are updated? hmmm….=\

  • only thing ive considered is
sony's xba series however they only have the xba-1, althought its pretty cheap considering other places are selling for 100. ie addictedtoaudio

Beats by dre solo HD for $149.40 delivered is a pretty good deal
    http://dicksmith.com.au/product/A3425/beats-by-dre-solo-hd-b…

    • +1

I had just jumped into this post to make a joke about Beats.
Thanks for saving me the work and being the joke yourself! ^-^

  • EXCLUDES already advertised lines, Gaming and PC Headphones

  • +2

Unless they have HD25s for $150 I aint buying.

    • +14

      Thanks for the update.

      • Happy to help - these prices aren't much to write home about after the djwarehouse deal…

    • +1

I could settle for $180 if they can offer it.

  • +1

I want to hear JV's opinion on this….
    :)

    • +13

jv uses the headphones he got "given" on his last flight.

  • get my eye on the RS120 but not for $170

These Phillips Bluetooth ones are a good price

    http://dicksmith.com.au/product/A7411/philips-bluetooth-head…

    • thank you covert, just got one with my wish card and prolly my last for using the everyday rewards on dicksmith.

      • found it on cotd for 86.90 aud including delivery, immediately cancelled my order :)

    • Is this a good bluetooth one? I'm looking for one but don't know which one is good and has reasonable price.

  • +6

God, please stop with the 'first post please go easy'…..Who cares if its your first post? Make it sounds as if people will hurt you if the deal is not good.

    • +5

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I am a complete tightass. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you post a good deal, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

    • +1

Lol when people say that, makes me wanna be an even bigger ass to them

    • They will. Everyone in here is ruthless. Definitely some Aussie angst going about.

  • Based on some cursory searches, it seems most of these headphones can be had cheaper from Amazon UK.

  • Still doesn't hit these numbers..
    http://www.dakmart.com/index.php?cPath=4_9_28&sort=&filter_i…

delivery is $32, they sell re-ferb headsets. But the quality is really good like new. Mate got a PXC450 and very happy with it.

    • How trustful are these guys? I am interested at some products

      • They had a good reputation sometime ago, then it was taken over by a different business. There are mixed reviews on the web, if you are in doubt the safest option is to buy off their Amazon store.

Like I said, someone I know purchased a headset a couple of months ago and he had no issues.

  • +1 I got a wireless headphone from Dick Smith Sydney. I've been waiting for a sale.

  • +1

    First post aye?

    Pepper thy angus.

  • Sale doesn't appear to apply on gaming headsets…

  • Beats by dre not on sale?

    • +12

They are not actually headphones, in the same way way Monster Cables are not really cables.

    • They are on sale - a lot cheaper than Amazon's prices at the moment.

    • +1

yeah I agree I thought this was their regular price shouldn't it be closer to $179.40 not good as Djwhearhouse but acceptable.

  • got TDK MT300 for just 18 dollar and they are great….

  • +1

I wish they had the Senn HD-25 :(

  • Is this instore as well?

    • dw it is haha

  • I spent ~$30 on a pair of Ultimate Ears at DSE the other day. I am now ready to die.

    • dick smith have a 2 week return policy don't they?

  • Seems to not apply to the Jabra Sport Headphones :\

    http://dicksmith.com.au/product/E8228/jabra-sport-handsfree-…

  • Can anyone recommend anything decent for TV viewing? (Wireless/Long cord, comfortable, volume controls on the headset)

    • Just got the sennheiser HD65TV for $71.97 in store, came with 63mm adapter, and a really long removable cord with column control, tried it out just now… impressive sound. Bargain.

  • Just bought Philips headphones in store for tomorrows overseas trip. Opened the box just to find out they are USED. Had fingerprints all over it and scratches. Angry…

    • sorry to hear that. sad to say, but its becoming more common from dse

  • was looking at the Philips O'Neal Stretches but you can get them on Amazon Us for approx $49 delivered

In fact this is probably worth posting.

    • Don't buy online Went in store and are $60 applying discount to ticket price

      • So more than 20% more expensive than what nerobass was saying?

  • Purchased these, http://dicksmith.com.au/product/A3415/sony-monitor-headphone… from JB a few weeks - totally surprised how good they are! Deep bass, close sound, really good!

I spent a good hour in JB testing everything they had on the listening wall, coming up with two other conclusions - Senny's are boring as hell, and Dre's are just not worth the cash (or any good - though the Guetta ones were ok).

  • Sony MDR-MA100 for $30 is very good

  • I'm after a cheap in ear set to plug into my phone and listen to radio/music and answer a call once or twice per week. Was thinking the Sony DR-EX14VP: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/A3410/sony-in-ear-earphones-…

I've read they're OK if you don't want any bass which I'm sort of OK with but, is the mic/control so far down the cable to be unusable? That would be disappointing - anyone have some that can advise if you have to hold the mic up to your mouth?

    Edit: Can't type

  • Nice deal! Beats By Dre are on sale as well; but they are still overpriced headphones.

  • -2

cheers, just bought the beats pro, $300 is decent, would never pay more for them

    • +12

Haha you're new here aren't you?

    • +3

ohhhh that's great price for a "NECKLACE"

      • Beats are kinda like necklaces. They are expensive ones though!!

    • -1

So, you bought a pair, and didn't even give a measly + vote. Shows what kind of person uses beats.

      • huh, plus what?

        • this deal.

    • $300 Really? I wouldn't pay more than a $1 for them lol

    • Just got delivered, holy cow rhey sound terrible, surely DS arnt selling fakes? Im even running them on a fiio e17 amp. They have a scratch on the right earcup. Just ordered audio technica m50. hopefully i can return beats. can i paypal dispute over a scratch on a brand new item?

      • After hearing about how crap Beats are you bought them anyway. Now you have heard them for yourself and realise they are crap, and you want help? And by all accounts, fake Beats sound the same, if not better, than the real ones.

  • +1

Thanks to Dick Smith's product recall on the portable DVD player, I got a full refund of $129 and bought the Apple In-ear Headphones in store :)

  • These are available in store. Just got the HD65 TV from William St, in Perth for $71.97. No need to wait for delivery. very happy.

  • Just got Sony MDR-V55, $89, very nice Thanks OP.

  • ordered Sennheiser PXC250 II Headphones online for 179.95. Went into the Cannington shop, there is no stock left in WA, and they wouldn't let me do a store order.

  • Can anyone recommend a pair of good cheap earphones? I dont want in-ear types (like these http://dicksmith.com.au/product/C0810/tdk-bass-boost-earphon…) or headphones.

  • Dick Smith should PERMANENTLY have these prices set to this!!
